Excellent product
I purchased this product for several reasons. I wanted the 1.25 and 2.5 mainly for steaming. Just put a little water in a bigger pan, put the lid on and steam away. Take the colander out when done, rinse and serve. I have not had enough company over yet to use the 4qt or 5.5 qt yet but they will be used eventually. No, not for steaming, rather just for rinsing.

NICE FOR THE MONEY
I needed a stainless steel colander that would fit in a pot when needed. When I saw these I decided I could get different sizes all in one set so when I need one I would have a choice to use. Seem to be good quality. I have not used them yet as a steamer.

Nice set of collanders

Don't waist your time and money.
These colanders are very light weight metal. The bases are tack welded to the bowl and causes the bottom to be convex instead of concave. There is also a gap between the base and bowl which traps grease when draining browned meat and is almost impossible to clean.
