These are a mixed difference from my Yokohama's these replaced. I doubt these are going to last, being a very soft tire. The benefit is it's very quiet on the highway and around town. It's a more of a pleasant ride in my 4X4 SUV Xterra, but cornering and braking, I don't have the same hold and feel when taking an exit faster than usual. Because this tire is softer than what I removed, I don't know what to expect for tread life. As far as installation, the days of a tire store with experienced men knowing their job and cars in general was completely absent at my location in FL. They don't tighten wheel lugs in a star pattern, and the guy argued with me it's OK to go in a circe. He's dead wrong. Some studs got grease, other studs didn't, 3 people were working on the SUV doing it their way. By the way, take some bearing grease and wipe it on the bead of all your tires before you go into the store, this has been used for 70 years as a bead sealer. Today with aluminum rims especially this helps you from never having to add air to your tires and the "dressing" is harmless to the tire. Just an oily film is all you need, don't gob it on like shaving cream unless you like to watch the techs wipe the grease off on their pant legs trying to get it off. Just be sure that guy doesn't drive your car out and put grease on your seats. They had a hard time figuring out how to removed my hub caps, their tire gauges in the shop were about 5 lbs off so they believed I had an air leak when one tech was checking the air pressure with a different gauge. They started blaming everything else when there wasn't a problem to fix in the first place. As far as the tires go, they were on sale during Cyber Monday. For the sale price, I'd buy them again. I'd never pay regular price.
I had these installed on 6/6/2025 and they don't ride loud or anything. I drive daily to Humboldt to work and they handle the road perfectly. Going through rain is great, I'm not thrown from side to side like I was before with my other tires. I'd highly recommend.
...A very nice tire,quiet,.. handles good on wet roads. Only little quirk is they pick up stones when used on certain gravel surfaces. Absolute best price anywhere ! Comes with free rotation, but I read only every 7 thousand miles, which I have my vehicle serviced every 5,000,so not pleased about that....Factory size replacement for my '01 Tacoma 4x4,which I have had since new. I would recommend these tires....
Surprised on the value of this Cooper tire compared to the OEM tires that came with the truck and replaced with the same once afterwards. Excellent wet and dry traction, quiet ride. I drive mostly two lane roads and interstates. Walmart service at my location was excellent and professional.
Tires look and feel great. Very smooth ride, handle well , no noise. Great price, would definitely recommend and buy again. Techs got us in and out in about an hour. Derrick the sales associate was fantastic, patient, explained all my questions, and showed me different tires before I decided for the Cooper Evolution
I disliked my service. I made an appointment for 5pm . Dropped off my truck at 4:45. Was told it would be ready in one hour. At 6:00 the truck was just getting on the lift, wasn't done till 7:15. I asked to have the TPMS set to 40lbs and was told they will set themselves. The next day they still weren't working. When I looked at the valvestems I could tell they were not new. Made another appointment for Sunday morning 7am so I wouldn't have to wait for over 2 hours. After they started replacing them I was told I didn't pay for them. What I paid for was the warranty , installation, torque recheck, valve stem/TPMS. What the heck!!! I seen this on line when ordered so I paid for it expecting TPMS installed because mine didn't work. So I paid another $28 /tire. I was told I was only to get valve stems. I didn't even get them!
I'll give credit where it's due: the tires are solid. Smooth ride, good grip, no complaints there. Now the service? Babygirl… it was giving Moe, Larry %26 Curly: The Misogyny Tour. I prepaid for my tires, had the receipt, confirmation number, the whole Bible. Yet you'd swear I rolled up trying to steal my own car. The way they hovered, questioned, double-checked, and triple-checked — I thought I was on an episode of CSI: Walmart Auto. Meanwhile, they had a full staff running around like the sky was falling… over three cars. THREE. I've seen toddlers organize Legos with more urgency and less confusion. Every five minutes, someone looked bewildered, scratching their head like the concept of “woman buys tires” was a plot twist they didn't see coming. In the end: ✔️ Tires = A ❌ Service = featuring the Three Stooges and a sprinkle of outdated attitudes Would I buy tires here again? Sure. Would I expect them installed before the next solar eclipse? Absolutely not.
Unfortunately, this is less about the tires, which I'm sure are great. First, let me start by saying hoth customer service at both walmart.com as well as at the physical Walmart auto care center in Severn, MD has been nothing short of atrocious and utterly maddening. I purchased two sets of tires plus additional warranties for two vehicles online at walmart.com, and scheduled installation appointments at the nearest Walmart auto care center. The first vehicle, though we had to wait TWO HOURS for installation even though we had an appointment, was actually accomplished. The second vehicle was a different story. Not only did we wait for two hours, thinking tires were being installed, we discovered upon inquiring at the desk about when our service would be done, that not only did they cancel our appointment (even though they checked our vehicle in and took the key fob), they canceled our tires order. Their reason was they didn't have a ramp large enough to accommodate our truck. So instead of telling us that they couldn't do the installation immediately upon check-in and then give us our pre-purchased tires to take to be installed elsewhere, we waited for two hours to discover not only had we waited to be informed of their inability, but they canceled the appointment as well as refunded our purchase, so we couldn't even take the tires. Not only that, but upon being asked why the cancelation and refund were done without our consent, the store clerk, SheShe, was combative and exasperated at being calmly asked why any of that happened. The thing is, after all of that and being turned away after a 2-hour wait, we HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN REFUNDED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE TIRES! We were immediately refunded the cost of the extended warranties, but now, as of 10 days later, we have yet to see a refund of the actual tire purchase. Because we checked in for the appointment at the auto care center, it shows in my walmart.com account the tires were picked up, which they were not, because the auto care center refused to give them to us after they canceled our appointment, saying when they did that, they automatically refunded our purchase. So we left empty-handed and confused. After calling customer service at walmart.com, we were advised the tires showed as being bought and to go back to the store to pick them up. We, inconveniently, made another trip back the next day and were again refused the tires, being told they couldn't do anything about it, and we'd be refunded in 7 to 10 days. Not once, but a total of FOUR separate calls to walmart.com, every associate clearly reading from a script, assuring they were on our side, but actually offering ZERO assistance in resolving the matter, resulted in us being told to go back yet again to the store, then call walmart.com customer service and hand MY phone over to the clerk at the auto care center desk so they could talk to them personally. How is any of this acceptable?! Walmart has permanently lost our business.
Great tires! The customer service is absolutely terrible at Walmart though. Nobody knows what they're doing anymore! The management is even worse than the employees. No common sense or customer politeness! It's just all about the money.
Upon arrival ms. Betty was very rude. I had a 9am appointment. She tells me they won't be able to mount my tires telling me the machine doesn't support 22 inch tires. I said yall installed the two on the front and she told me to pull to stall%233. She speaks with a tech he then says the machine can't do them. I was told they would just give me the install fee back I said unacceptable as they installed my front tires. Only after going back and forth with Ms Betty she scans my vin and I guess it showed I was telling the truth and the tech says we have no choice but to put them on. Now I'm confused because they were adamant about the machine not being able to but now they magically can. This is crazy as I was headed out of town and was told lies for no apparent reason. This is not what good customer service is about.
