Corelle Brasserie 18-Piece Glass Dinnerware Set (Service for 6)

Although the pattern was not exact, the one I picked complimented our original pattern. Loved the ease of purchase, and the accuracy of delivery time. Great job.

I have always used and loved Corelle dinnerware. It is sturdy, durable, and has nice design patterns. I have used mine for several years. I purchased this set for my son. The newer designs are great. I loved the look of this set so much that I will be ordering a set to keep.

They are sturdy but light and do well in the microwave. They have just enough decoration to go well with my farmhouse industrial decor.

Corelle is Corelle, so eey reliable. i love the brassiere design. very European, very Art Deco. Goes very well with my 1930s kitchen table.

Really bummed about this set/product. Decided to upgrade from our plastic dishes to Corelle for longevity (our kids are now teenagers and can be trusted to handle breakable items). The design of this set is timeless and sleek (brasserie design has black lines around the border of the plates and bowls). Unfortunately, the quality of Corelle's dishes has really gone downhill since our parents purchased them (1980s and 1990s)… this design clearly just has the black decorative lines painted on top of the finished (and sealed) dishes, not painted underneath the protective clear/shine coating. This production compromise (clearly designed to make default white dishes and then just stencil designs on top at the end of the creation) means that the design details on the dishes are NOT protected with any sort of coating. This can result in the painted design chipping off quickly with friction, washing, or everyday use. AND, straight out of a box that includes settings for 6 people (6 dinner plates, 6 appetizer plates, and 6 bowls), over half of the dinner plates we received had stencil/painting issues with the black design where the outside bands were smeared together, smudged off, or missing areas of paint (pictures submitted with this review). Strike 1: poor decision to take the “cheap” way and paint on designs after the plates are sealed, strike 2: poor quality checks to identify 3 plates in succession that had incorrect paint stamps, strike 3: marketing these dishes as “crafted with pride” and using the Corelle name brand when you clearly have reduced quality.

This does not stand up to the Corelle brand dishes that stand up to the test of time. I still have some from my first apartment in 1991 and some from my Grandmother. They do not break and the pattern on them is the same as the day we bought them(and yes we put them in the dishwasher). These, the black design is peeling off. Such a shame. These are really white dishes that they painted on a black pattern. I guess once it is done peeling off, I will just have white dishes. I included the picture of my old bowls with all the design intact next to the new dishes that have the design peeling.
