Corelle Portofino 12-Piece Glass Dinnerware Set (Service for 4)

These dishes are beautiful. I had some Corelle dishes many years ago, but they became outdated. I tried 2 different brand of dishes in the interim. They chipped and cracked and broke so easily, I realized I needed to come back to Correlle, but I wanted something that made me happy to look at. I finally chose these. I think the pattern is so cute and very durable. Just a few days ago, my granddaughter dropped a bowl. I know that both of the other brands I had tried would have broken, or chipped at the very least. Corelle is sturdy. It's dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and oven safe. What other plates and bowls are safe for the oven? I don't usually put them in the oven, but I know that I can should I ever wish to. Anyway, I think they're adorable, I have 4 sets now, and they make me happy.

I finally decided to retire my old Corelle dishes that are 30 years old. They are still in good shape but many pieces have disappeared over the years so I decided to buy replacements. These seem to be the same quality and still made in the USA. Pattern was very nice too. They were packaged properly to survive shipping, I even ordered matching dishes in other shapes and sizes directly from Corelle and they were also packaged well. I'm sure this new set will last many years and they wash well in the dishwasher. I wouldn't be afraid of ordering more in the future, they are still great quality everyday dishes. All in set are usable sizes for dinner, lunch, and cereal bowl.

They are perfect for this stage of my life: I'm older %26 much shorter than I used to be. These dishes are thinner than my former stone-wear and light weight, so they stack nicely in the cabinet. The Portofino pattern is very attractive for daily use, and it coordinates nicely w/my former serving pieces.

The Corelle dinnerware is light, easy to clean, and microwaveable. I liked the design options and am pleased with my choice.

These plates are very pretty and I'm excited to have them. I rated 4 stars because I generally like a heavier feel, but short of purchasing stone ware these are great.

These dishes are listed as “Portofino” on the box, but they do not match my other set of Correlle Portofino dishes. The smaller plates and bowls are a different pattern. Very frustrating!
