This PS is quiet and provides all the power my tower needs. That is to say that it runs the MB/CPU, ssd and 2 - 7200rpm hds, 1 cdrw drive and 3 fans. this unit's cabling is truly modular. The price was avg. Overall a solid deal for what will hopefully be long term use.
Runs dead silent and has been running efficiently for several months now, the cables are so clean and organized it makes my whole setup so beautiful looking. I highly reccomend anything corsair does with PSUs they are always reliable and so premium feeling.
Excellent power supply! I've always been a fan of corsair and this is another great one from them. The cables are a bit more flexible than most standard PSU cables, which I find to be a bonus. Combo that with the fact it's a modular PSU and you've got some easy cable management.
Had a power supply die suddenly and everywhere else was going to take several days to arrive. Decided to take a chance on picking up this one since that brand is a good one. It did exactly what I needed it to. Had all the cables and took minimal time to install. I am glad I decided to buy it rather than just wait.
PSU seems to work great, powers a 5070 TI and 7600x3D cpu no problems. Cables were a bit thiner than I expected, however doesn't seem to be an issue. I've heard some people meniton the e Variants of the Corsair PSUs can have some noise issues, but I have not experienced this. I have been using this PSU for about a week now.
I have an older pc. My rig is made up of ASUS Gryphon Z97 Motherboard I7-4790k CPU 16gb ram GTX 1050 ti After 10 years my old power supply went bad. It was a Corsair RM650 For the last couple years I just brushed off my pc getting slower from it obviously being older. I never knew changing the power supply would make my pc run smoother and faster. LIke I cant explain how it did but It feels like a brand new pc again. It was very easy to install too.
Absolutely seem less replacement, the connections are standardized for easy replacement. Took about 10 minutes to install in my existing build with the previous wiring still intact.
Seems like a fine PSU but for the money it seems like you can do better in terms of warranty and efficiency for the same or not much more money. Corsair has a solid reputation but when you're installing a 1000w PSU to feed a 9950x3d and RTX 5080 I'm shooting for Platinum Efficiency for cooler and cheaper running rigs.
This is a great product in terms of the physical PSU, However I give it lower stars because of the cables. Don't get me wrong they do the job absolutely fine and have very strong connectors. However, and it may just be my prior experience with older PC equipment. I would really like to see Corsair either A add more plastic wire looks to their cables or B simply use the old fashioned wire loom over the cables. I found it hard to build with just because the cables themselves only have 1 small loom on them and essentially catch on things quite often, I don't personally see the benefit to having the cables be like this at all and find it to be a nuisance more than anything, the fan is extremely quiet almost worry-some with how little it comes on with a proper pc case and isolated PSU den. The design is good however I would have liked to see more than one open air side of the PSU, most modern PC cases have isolated areas for the PSU that typically contain hard drives or SSD's which both can get fairly warm, that being said simply having an extra grate on one side rather than all four sides being solid metal that would sit on the inside of the case would add to the capacitive cooling of SSD's and HDD's. As far is reliability is concerned I have full faith this PSU will last for quite a while especially with the Japanese components used to assemble the boards. Not to mention that Corsair has in my opinion made some very high quality computer components for years that beat out the competition. That being said consider Antec as well they are a fantastic company and I'd love to see Corsair and Antec collaborate on something together!
Walmart sold me a previously installed/used psu as new. Box was resealed with packing tape. Internal packaging was missing/ plastic bags/cable ties/product manual was creased in several places. The product gets the negative review as Walmart is an authorized seller for the manufacturer and should be following policy with regards to previously used items by returning them to the manufacturer or throwing them in them in the trash.
