I absolutely love Corsair products, being I'm a Corsair girl. Keyboard works really good and the switches are very good too. The click from taping the keys isn't annoying at all in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone that loves color and quality.
I like that there is a button to mute audio
Use for gaming and everyday stuff, like the weight, angle and solid feel under my fingers. It stays put. Great product.
Very solid build quality, you can customize the colors by individual keys if you want to go that far, key actuation is great, very smooth and fairly quiet, the mx red don't have the loud click
While shopping at one of our local Walmart stores. I went looking for a new keyboard for my desktop computer cause my old keyboard had problems. I seen the Corsair STRAFE RGB Mk.2 on the self and looked it over. For starters it's a mechanical keyboard which uses 'Cherry MX' switches under each key on the keyboard. If you never used a mechanical keyboard it will take some time to get used to it. But once you do get used to a mechanical keyboard you will never go back a cheap keyboard ever again. Another thing is mechanical keyboards tends to last much longer then cheaper keyboards. This keyboard would be perfect for both gamers OR someone which types a lot. Just be warned the keys on the keyboard is not quiet. Which means you will be able to hear the person typing on the keyboard if they are in the same room. A bonus for those gamers is this keyboard includes "MOBA/FPS Keycap Sets" These extra keycaps are gray in color which has a nice texture to them which offers more grip. I'll include a photo with them install on the keyboard. You can use Corsair's software called "iCue" which can be downloaded from their website. You can use this software to change the lighting of the keyboard. You can also use this software to program the key's to do something else if you wish.
ive owned a few mechanical keyboards, but this one is by far my favorite. it's the quietest mechanical keyboard I've ever used.
the price is high but so is the satisfaction of using it.
Exactly what I wanted, delivered fast and safely before Christmas.
This review is from the perspective of a person who types fast and is seeking the best keyboard. There are many cheap keyboards that I would rather use for gaming or when doing serious work on the computer. Keyboard appearance: More subjective than anything but it looks pretty cool. Its got two USB ports and one of them didnt work, but I didnt care. I can pretty much learn to be happy with any keyboard when it comes to gaming. Id rather have a keyboard that is good for typing than just game play. If a keyboard is good for typing, it should be fine for games. And also if you chat during gameplay via text, having a keyboard that is good for fast typing is a good thing. Noise: Its louder than I would want to use if Im doing fast typing (80 words per minute). Key tops are very hollow and plastic sounding. The space bar is a tad louder but has more of metallic ping (along with a very rough surface). I guess that rough surface is supposed to come in handy during games, but when you are typing your thumbs make a sweeping motion, and this keyboard could potentially give you thumb callouses if you plan on fast typing. Wobble: Too much wobble at top when idle. Space Bar: Has a mild high pitched ding, like a small bell. I can see how that would get on my nerves for using in an office. Also, it has a rough pattern on the space bar that is initially physically a bit irritating, and for me that turned into general irritation. Theres too much action (maybe 1 millimeter) before a keystroke is registered. Lights: I didnt really mess with them since the focus of this is to find the best for typing. The registering of a key press is not physically obvious, neither in sight nor in feeling. In other words, when your keystroke activates one of the keyboard key switches, there is no obvious change in feeling. This is not good for fast typing. The keystroke registers about halfway down and the keyboard click seems not quite noticeable. This might be good for games (but cant think of any reason why!) but if you are trying to type fast while looking somewhere other than the screen or your hands, your human intuition is probably going to say press the key until it stops moving. It just slows me down a bit, and the noise is too loud and just sounds cheap.
I never received the keyboard because my order was delayed, and then canceled.
