It is larger than the previous model (see pics). It's nice that we can use it longer, but it does take up more space than its predecessor. Its primary purpose is for travel, so I'm thankful that the new model is still very lightweight. I haven't installed it on an airplane yet. We'll see if it's able to rear face which prevents my toddler from kicking the chair in front of her! Still a great value for the money and I would purchase again.

Purchased the product for my 2.5yr old for the plane as this will be her first time flying and needing her own seat. I feel the car seat will be the safest option to actually keep her seated and will transfer great to the car once at our destination. We haven't actually used it yet but it's light weight and looks like it'll be comfortable for our toddler.

I would like to be completely honest and say this seat will be used very little i purchased it so i can pick up my grandbaby from daycare if needed he only goes one day a week uf my son is running late getting home from work i can have a friend drive me to pick him up

Finding a car seat that is safe, lightweight, and actually affordable can be a huge challenge, but this Scenera Extend absolutely delivers. I picked this up for my youngest to use, especially since we needed something compact and easy to manage for a massive multi-day family road trip. It is incredibly lightweight, making it an absolute breeze to install or travel with, and it fits perfectly in the backseat alongside my four-year-old daughter's seat without making the car feel cramped. I am always looking for practical products that offer genuine value, and it is so nice to find reliable baby gear that doesn't feel like a waste of money. The "Moonlit Night" pattern is cute but dark enough to hide the inevitable travel snacks and spills. If you need a no-fuss, budget-friendly car seat that gets the job done safely and holds up well on the road, I highly recommend picking this one up!

TLDR: OMG, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! This car seat installs very specifically. DAILY CAR SEATS: Evenflo Extend 360, Joie 360 Spin My husband could not figure out how to install this car seat and it would not stay put so we returned it once. Took him an hour to install and it was still slightly wobbly and I didn't feel like it was safe. Now my baby is 19 months (too young to forward face), 32” (almost too tall for cheap rear facing car seats), and 28lbs. I researched for hours but could not find a better deal than this one for a lightweight car seat we will use 1-2 times on vacation before he grows out of it. This car seat was also cheaper than renting a car seat from Alamo for a week. Again, I sat at Alamo for a whole hour listening to my husband grumble and I almost drove the rental car to get a new car seat. Turns out he only skimmed through the instructions. This car seat is a bare basic car seat. It relies heavily on the seat belt and the front seat to keep it in place. The front seat in front of it is helping to keep it in place, and the seat belt MUST be straight and not twisted. It might help to pull off the cover to see the seat belt inside. This makes all the difference in the world. I did take one star off the Ease of Use but that was because we're used to the rotating car seats. This is a great entry level car seat and I think it's perfect for travel.

I really think the biggest improvement they could make to this car seat is to hire somebody from ikea to rewrite the installation instructions that come with it more clearly. Yeah that's how bad they are. Took two people and probably close to 300 pounds of throw weight between them to figure the install and make sure it was wedged securely into the back seat of a Kia Soul. Otherwise what can you say? The mama liked the security of the straps, the 32lb baby didn't complain so it must have been comfortable, It was pink which was a nice color for her, and most importantly nobody died while using. And the price was reasonable. As long as you can get it into the car, I would recommend it.

Short version: I would buy this and recommend it to friends. Longer: I bought this to have a cheaper and more lightweight car seat especially for taking on an airplane for a two year old especially since I didn't think the lap belt stood a chance at keeping her contained on the flight. I also didn't want to pay $80 for the FAA approved strap system that is technically easier to carry but not worth the money and I needed a car seat at my destination anyway. The car seat is a little awkward to carry down the plane aisles but much lighter weight than my Graco slim fit which would have been terrible to lug around the airport. Plus now I have a car seat that I can leave in my other vehicle at home. Main complaint is have to watch the straps getting twisted more than my other Graco seat but would buy this one again and it is pretty simple to install in a car and an airplane as I had lots of practice on that trip moving between different vehicles.
