My kids were so excited when we brought out the modeling clay before dinner was served. Everyone was excited, even the adults, to join in and make creations with the clay. We like that the clay doesn't dry out, so you didn't have to worry about opening each pack and maybe not having it sealed all the way. Creations didn't completely dry out either. The clay is not the lightweight variety, it actually feels substantial in your hands, and needs to be worked a bit to get it to be pliable. It does leave a residue on fingers which is annoying. But overall, doesn't smell and is lots of fun. Definitely something we like to keep on hand in our craft closet.
Our kid loves the cool Crayola Modeling Clay, Bulk Clay, Assorted Colors, 2Lbs! Eight vibrant colors to use in modeling all your crafts! Our kid made dinosaurs out of his and the only problem he had was making sure he didn't make the dino heads too heavy, or else the project would fall apart. So many ideas available from Crayola using their resources and our son can create all his imagination comes up with! It has been 4 days and the clay has NOT dried! This is awesome so no worries about drying. A great way for kids or anyone to simply have fun with modeling art!
Nice packaging, bright colors, low odor. Relaxing to make different objects. My boys are 9 and enjoy making things with it. They said that this would also be fun for the 5-7 year old age group. I think it is good for fine motor skills and hand exercise. This clay is not designed to dry out, so whatever you make can be re-molded into something else. A good creative learning activity for kids and a relaxing activity for adults to make things with their kids.
this classy has a good consistency. it is not hard for children to use it and make things with the clay. air dry also makes it easy for the little ones to save their artwork.
This modeling clay is loads of fun. I was taken back when I opened the box to see a third empty space. I think that by closing up that space they could have more room for more products on the shelf! The clay colors are magnificent. There's no reason for the blocks to be indented as if they break into four pieces, they're really just one solid block of clay that you can pinch amounts off of. Easy to manipulate. Doesn't dry out. Colors slightly stain hands.
This is a great, basic set of modeling clay. It comes with 8 different colors of clay in the basic primary colors. Each color has 4 long blocks of each color individually wrapped in plastic. Kids can sculpt details using popsicle sticks or other wooden tools like the handle of paint brushes, etc if you don't already have sculpting tools on hand. I put the clay back into a plastic storage bag to prevent it drying out even though it is advertised as not drying out. This product will provide hours of entertainment for kids (and adults!).
Great for developing hand strength. It is certainly moldable, but I've not softened it enough for the 2 year old to do the rolling or flattening herself. Some reviewers say it softens, though. My little one is happy to use a set of simple tools from her play dough set to manipulate the clay. It is a bit hard for her to press into it, but she's not at all frustrated by the hardness. I didn't realize the clay would not dry which is kind of nice actually. I don't need to worry about it being left out. It does leave a residue on the hands and table, but it cleans off easily. All in all, I think it is a good product at a decent price that should last quite a while.
It's okay, didn't read it before purchase, it will NEVER dry out so modeling is out. It's two rows of color not three as it looks in the item pic
This clay was very hard to work with, you have to handle it a lot for it to soften, but once it softens it is very easy to mold. My 7 year old granddaughter had so much fun with this, molding it into a few different things. You can store it in plastic bags to keep it fresh or you can dry it out in whatever you mold. The colors are bright and don't fade, I did have to help her in the beginning to soften the clay and it did take a little while but it was worth it. Each color is packed in plastic and are a nice size to work with. Its a fun project on a rainy day to keep kids busy, also good to use for school projects.
I got this product for our six-year-old. The box came a little damaged during shipping, but the product itself was intact. It features eight different colors, and they are each individually wrapped in the box. The clay is pretty stiff, but molds in the hands fine. This is a great product if your child enjoys re-creating their art into new things, but not a great product if they make something they really like and want to let it dry. The box states that the clay will not dry out. Therefore, it is a non-hardening product. Colors included are black, blue, red, brown, yellow, orange, green, and white.
