Gets the job done for its low price i got no complaints but i do want to inform any who will purchase this device i The blue light does not go out you have to unplug it to make that happen other than having a constant new night light in one of my house rooms it's fantastic
Cheaply made but does as intended. I kind of wish my usb wires could have fit down more flush with the unit but, its not too big of a deal as long as it still can send and receive data through an ssd or phone. The other thing i noticed is that the wire coming out does twist a hair when moving it but its not coming loose any time soon. I currently have mine set up flat with some velcro to keep it firmly in place. Overall, its a descent 4 port hub. i however may not use my ssd on it when i get said ssd. Charging my phone and maybe moving my logitech mouse dongle to it is probably how i will end up using this since i am currently using a laptop with limited usb ports available. It probably would be okay though for ssd too but i'm just not gonna. I feel its well worth the price listed though and because it works.
Bought this to expand the accessories i can attach to my laptop. Did not buy it to charge devices. Seems to be working like it should. I have devices like keyboard and mouse attached. Also have a video adapter which requires power attached. So basically if you can charge device by plugging into your computer's USB port, then it will likely work with this one too.
This no name brand 4 port usb hub seems to work fine with my ergonomic mouse and to my Epson eco tank printer. Decided to try lowest priced model, as I needed the extra port not a available from my tablet. Would prefer lit ports over single 1" power light, but can't complain. Don't know how well the unit will hold up yet.
Bought this to add USB ports to my PC (Dell XPS). Works well, BUT only has a very short cord - the USB ports on my pc are above the halfway point on the tower and this cord length (which was NOT mentioned anywhere in the description) only allows the very tip of the device to rest on desk. It just kind of half dangles there, putting strain on the pc USB port. POOR DESIGN.
Absolutely terrible quality. With only two devices plugged in they constantly flicker on and off and sometimes wouldn't even come back on after that. Didn't even last a day before this happened so much that my mouse wouldn't work for more than a few minutes.
I bought this hub through Walmart.com from Poweradd, but I have seen it with several different brand names on it from different vendors (<$5 on eBay). Be advised that the product I received WAS NOT USB 3.0. Although the plugs were blue, they only had 4 conductors. A true USB 3.0 has the usual 4 of USB 2.0, but also has another 5 small ones tucked in between the larger 4 conductors. The plugs on this thing didn't have the addition 5 conductors and had transfer rates barely better than USB 2.0.
It would not recognize anything that I plugged into it until I switched from having it plugged into a USB 3.0 port to a 2.0 port. Well that defeats the purpose of having a 3.0 hub as it is then reduced to 2.0. I tried it in 3 different computers and had the same result.
Maybe it is just this adapter, but when I plugged my ssd into the adapter it slowed it down so much that it was taking minutes to download programs that take seconds to download when plugged into the same port the adapter was plugged into on my computer. So I tried it with thumb drives and the results were the same, super slow when plugged into the adapter and normal when plugged directly into the computer.
Stopped working in 2 months, abruptly and without any alterations or mishandling from me, the receiver was always connected to right side of the laptop and never had any movement on that side so it was a defective product
