I love this little accent to my office desk. It is such a beautiful color of blue and feels relaxing to me. It is not a traditional lamp that provides adequate light so it would fall under the "desk accessories" or "accents" category. It need 3 AA batteries so make sure you have them when your item arrives. Love it! As soon as my husband saw it, he wanted me to order him one too!

I bought this for my 2 year old son who has sensory processing disorder and autism and he loves it! Good for visual stimulation and he loves running his hands through it. I'll be ordering more!

This item puts out plenty of light for a nightlight! Kids enjoy playing with it so durable as well! Comes in really handy when electricity goes out with it being battery operated.

I thought this fiber optic lamp was only one color. I was pleasantly surprised to see it has many different color settings. It can cycle between red, green and blue or you can set it to one of the colors. It has a button on the bottom that you can use to set it to a specific color mode. I like the color changing options. The description said it did not come with batteries. The one I received had 3 AA batteries included. It is very quick to set up and find the color I wanted.

One of my children wanted this as a gift for their birthday, well they asked for a fiber optic light. As a child of the 80s myself, I am surprised how many people do not know what these are. I asked at multiple stores and found this one on walmart.com. Great price. it worked right out of the box (a fear when you give something as a gift, that it won't work) Nice little light! Just what we were looking for.

Meh, a little cheaper than I thought it would be. The silver part is very cheap light plastic and I am afraid it's going to tip over. :( Disappointed. But I did receive it before Christmas so props for that.
