Simple and fun

Banditsrubyangel December 20, 2019

My young ones love this garden. They had fun painting the planter. Planting the 'magic' beans requires a lot of patience but once the plants get start they take off like crazy! I was very surprised how beautiful and healthy the leaves were. This is a fun project for the entire family!

This is so cool!

Dee69 January 1, 2020

This is a really cool product! My kids were so excited to plant the beans and watch them grow. And it's really neat that they have little quotes on them. Plus it teaches my kids how to garden and take care of plants. So I'm definitely pleased and highly recommend!

Magic bean garden

newmommy2b2daniel December 29, 2019

The magic bean garden comes with everything needed to sprout beans. Paint and paintbrush are included for kids to first decorate the pot. Once the pot is dry 2 beans and dirt are included. The dirt does contain gold glitter in it. Kids plant the beans in the pot add a little water and wait for them to sprout. Ours have gotten pretty big. We have had them just under 2 weeks. The kit includes colorful garden pebbles to put in the pot once the beans have sprouted. The booklet recommends that kids make a wish when they plant the beans. The beans are supposed to reveal a secret message after sprouting. The message was not legible on our beans but my kids were ok with that. They enjoyed decorating the pot, planting the beans and watching them grow. There is a saucer that goes under the pot to prevent water from leaking onto other surfaces. My little one found this to be a fun activity and enjoyed seeing the finished plant. Great set for promoting creativity in kids. I definitely recommend to others.

Inspire a future gardener!!

Gardngirl10 January 1, 2020

What fun this activity was! My 2 1/2 year old grandson and I worked on this together. He enjoyed painting the pot and planting the beans. Our beans haven't sprouted yet but we will enjoy checking them every day until they do! I love that this kit is not only fun and creative but it teaches children a lifelong lesson about growing plants. Win-win-win!!

Loved by 3 year old

Momto2inPA January 2, 2020

We used this kit to teach out three year old about how plants grow. She was insanely excited to get the kit out and go over all the parts. It is very thorough and includes everything you would need to paint and plant the beans and wait for them to grow. It was important for me to wait for them to actually grow well before leaving a review, because she would have been devastated if they had failed to grow. I had no problems following the directions and I set her up with all the paints and allowed her to paint the pot however she wanted. Afterwards, we waited for a day for it to dry. The next morning she picked 2 beans, the instructions specify that you should plant 2 for best measure, not all three. There is not enough soil to do another round, be we are okay with that. She picked the two beans she wanted and we filled the pot with the included soil. It definitely feels much sandier than normal soil but it works so not sure what the real difference actually is. She then pushed the beans she had chosen into the soil and we covered them with just a tad more soil. I gave her a very small cup of water and let her water the plant very slowly, a little at a time. It directs you on how much water you should give it to avoid root rot. We then set it in the kitchen, up and away from her so she did not get so excited that she needed to touch it - she very much wanted to play with the soil. She was a little antsy at first, watching it constantly, saying that it was not growing yet. We had to go over the process a few times to remind her that it would take a few days to grow and even then, it would be slowly. The beans that we planted grew at different speeds, as most plants normally do. I would say it was about day 4 when we say a tiny green stem sprouting just under the soil - it made a little crack in the soil but hadn't broken through yet. She excitedly watched each day as it finally broken through and grew taller and taller, sprouting leaves. A few days after the first bean grew, the second one did. It has been much slower to grow, just today sprouting it's first leaf. She checks on her beans every morning as soon as she gets up and runs through the house telling everyone how much it grew since the day before. This kit helped her learn about planting, watering, and waiting for things to grow. She learned how things start and eventually will learn how they end. She doesn't much care about the symbol on the beans or the words on them after they sprout. She can't read yet of course but to her, the act of planting it and it growing is amazing because it is something she did herself, everything else is unimportant details. I would completely recommend this kit, it was so fun to share this experience with her and teach her about plant life.

Awesome project

Sharonlipp December 26, 2019

I had so much fun with this, with my daughter. She loves arts and crafts and this was a fun little craft to do. We can not wait until it grows into magic beans. It was a lot of fun. The details of the items are excellent. I am very satisfied with this project.

Fun Kids Grow Your Own Magic Bean Garden

Kaddyshack December 26, 2019

My grandkids liked the Creativity for Kids Grow Your Own Magic Bean Garden. The large beans with words on them, is a nice touch. With two of the grandkids planting the seeds, they can watch their own bean grow. They also had fun painting the flower pot. The paints had very nice, bright colors. I had each grandkid take a half of the flower pot and paint their own design. It is quite unique and each time I turn the pot around it showcases their masterpieces. The added color pebbles to put on the top of the soil is very pretty too. I had each grandkid make a wish before planting their seed. The take away is that so far after a couple of weeks, the beans have not sprouted. The directions were followed precisely and watered as they should be. Not even a spotting of a sprout. I'm sure it will take some time, but they are asking when they will see their bean. Although the beans have not sprouted, the grandkids did have fun with their creation, and it didn't take very long to do the activities for their beans to be planted. This was long enough to keep their interest.

Easy and fun!

It's a nice kit for the kids to learn some gardening and be creative. Very easy to follow instructions. My daughter planted the beans without any help. Now she's so excited to see the bean sprout and grow. Cool product, I recommend it for any parents with young kids.

Fun project for kids!

HumidandWild January 4, 2020

This is a cute activity to do with kids. My son and I did it together. The pot on the smaller size, which was perfect for short attention spans. The whole project took about an hour to complete. We are still waiting on the beans to grow, so I cant comment on the secret messages. Overall, a fun project to do with kids!

Mine didn't grow

whitetiger24 January 2, 2020

This Magic Bean Garden didn't work. The directions are very simple and straight forward. You paint the plastic pot. This was a fun activity that my kids enjoyed. Then you put the dirt in the pot. Then you plant the seeds just below the top level of dirt. The directions say to water the soil until excess water drains from the bottom of the pot. I did this. Then you let it sit by a window, and there should be growth in 3-10 days. We followed these directions and nothing grew. I put more water on it to keep it more moist. After about 7 days now one is starting to peek up out of the soil. So 3 weeks in total now, and all I have is what is in the picture, just barley starting to see one grow. I think the directions should say that you need to water it more than just the first time. The soil needs to stay more than just moist. We'll see if more growth happens in the next week, but I'm not optimistic. I did not give a poor rating because it is possible that my seeds were just bad or we didn't water them correctly. The kit comes with 3 seeds with a word on one side and picture on the other. It's a cute idea, ours just didn't grow.
