Nat Geo Break Open 2 Geodes Science Kit for Child 8 Years and up, Includes Goggles

My daughter loved it but she did one by herself %26 it broke into lots of little pieces. Goggles are a must. We did one together %26 both my daughters enjoyed the experience. We took our time %26 it was very exciting. Split it in half %26 it was beautiful.

Like my previously reviewed Earth Science Kit, this was part of a gift for my granddaughter's 11th birthday. She loved breaking apart the geode(s) with the hammer that came with the kit. It was a very fun and educational gift for her!

This is the best STEM learning kit for children on the market today. My 7 year old Grandson absolutely loved breaking the geode open with a finishing hammer. The National Geographic Geode kit comes with safety goggles and I added child's leather gloves. It is a WOW gift and at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend this as a gift for any child with adult supervision.

Have gotten 2-3 other Nat Geo science kits for my 7 year old grandson and he loves them. Definitely recommend!

They are pretty small and all very simple quartz geodes, but really quite pretty. There were clear, glittering, large (for the size of the geode) and nice sharp crystals inside.

He loved it! The minute he opened it, he looked at my husband who immediately handed him a hammer!

Overall great product, but it needs to be mentioned on the box that you need to rent a jackhammer from the city. That is all.

These were all solid rocks, not geodes at all. Very upsetting having to beat them about 20 times with a hammer just to realize they were solid rocks!!
