Creepshow: Collector's Edition (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

This is a great upgrade if you have any prior release of the film. Picture and audio quality are superb. There are a ton of special features as well - commentaries, documentaries, behind- the-scenes insights, deleted scenes, and many other featurettes. It's a bargain for what you get.

An enduring classic! Romero's best outside of his Dead Trilogy...a MUST OWN. be prepared to laugh!!

Excellent movie from two masters of horror

The movie that revived the horror anthology genre is now on glorious 4K Blu-ray. Picture and sound have never been better. Highly recommended

I've been a fan of Creepshow ever since seeing it in the theater as a kid. King, Romero, and Savini? You can't beat that unholy union of talent. Now it's in a fantastic new 4k release. I really don't think it can get any better looking than this. It's perfect and now I get to share it the way it was meant to be seen with my kids.

The Creepshow horror anthology is pure nostalgic fun for me. I watched both of the Creepshow anthologies too many times to remember when I was a kid. However, the first Creepshow has always been the best one in the series for me. "Father's Day" and "The Crate" were the most memorable stories for me, and even now they put a smile on my face as I watch them. One thing that I immediately appreciated about this collector's edition is the deep black pearlescent case that the discs come in. That said, there are two things that bugged me about this collector's edition. Firstly, I feel that most people kind of expect a little more physical (or digital) content for anything that is released as 'collector's edition'. My second issue is the volume level for the dialogue. For some reason, whenever the actors are talking, their dialogue is oddly lower in comparison to the rest of the audio. The music and background ambience in the movie fairly suppress the actors' voices if you're just using the TV stereo. I have a soundbar that has a feature in which it elevates the dialogue over the music/ambience in the movie, so it solves the problem to some extent. Outside of those two things, I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror anthologies.
