Cricut Engraving Tip

The wavy blade is another great way I have expanded my Maker toolbox. I had to play with the settings a little bit the end result adds a nice touch to my projects!

I bought this tool along with my Maker 3 and am thrilled at the results! For card making and best results with the fine debossing tool, use cardstock that does not have any texture. Foil cardstock or cardstock that has a shine or shimmer works particularly well to show a fine debossing design. You can be extra creative and even use the fine debossing operation with text!

Very nice! I was making things that were out of wrapping paper-this blade worked like a hot knife in cold butter! So smooth and no rips or tears to the paper! Highly recommend!

Works great. I have made designs on acrylic blanks (for use in light boxes) for our son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, and my husband. Lots of fun. I just wish my Maker 4 could handle the 4mm blanks.

I had used my rotary blade for a long time (and often as I cut fabric regularly), and so I replaced the blade with this kit, very easily. The directions and easy of it was great

I engraved dog tags for my son's varsity football team, and the Senior's moms. They were a hit! A bit of a learning curve for me, but the tip performed very well.

It is working well. Glad that I purchased the blade with housing because it is very easy to swap out. The unit was pricey but I like the convenience.

So I am giving this one star not because of the tool itself but the fact that you need a computer to use it. This blade cannot be used through an iPad, iphone, or Chromebook. I do not have a lap top so now it is pretty much useless. Cricut really needs to fix this I should be able to do the same things in an iPad or any other tablet device that I can do through a computer. When I questioned cricut about this they said because it cuts twice it isn't comparable. Ummmmm you can cut twice on other blades, also they said they have no plans to make it iPad compatible.

I only got to use this twice. The first time was chipboard and it completely shredded my material and wrecked my mat. The second time I tried to cut a fairly basic design into basswood and heard a snap. Broken the second time I tried to use it.
