Crock-Pot Original Slow Cooker - Charcoal Gray

I bought this a month ago specifically for ribs-hubby LOVES ribs-thinking the area of this slow cooker would be an advantage.Well, I'm glad I did.Ribs come out much better than my large oval Crock-Pot...the surface area allows for more browning of the meat.I'll never do ribs any other way again.

Most-loved accessory appliance in my kitchen! Perfect for when you want to slow-cook something other than a big chunk of meat! Perfect for casseroles, slow-roasted meat, even soup and small and light enough to store and grab easily!!! Dishwasher makes clean up a breeze and unlike competitors, this has the best clamps on the lid! Can't find them now or I'd get them for everybody I know!!!

I’ve made lasagna, shepherds pie, mashed potato casserole, enchiladas, and more so far and I’m loving it! I don’t have to use my oven and heat up the entire house or wait for something to come out of the oven before cooking which comes in handy around Thanksgiving and Christmas when there’s a lot cooking going on.

I love this casserole CrockPot. It's not deep, but it is wide and it's perfect for casseroles. I do meals in this CrockPot at least five days out of the week. It even has a "warm" selection in case my husband comes home a little late from work. Highly recommend.

I already own a oval slow cooker, a electric pressure cooker, sous vide rig, and an 8 quart roaster, but at the last family function my cousin brought some meatballs in one of these. I decided to get one. Who doesn't love the endless possibilities of a 9 x 13 slow cooker? It's brilliant! I've been making all sorts of things. It's so easy to cook everything from low cal Egg Beater quiches to deconstructed stuffed cabbage casseroles (so much easier than rolling them up). Chicken thighs are fantastic any way you prepare them and it makes it so much easier. The best part is that whatever you would bake in the oven is cooked very evenly, and ready to serve on your counter. Compared to a regular slow cooker, your food is much more presentable. Cleanup is super easy since nothing really burns on. The casserole crock is a little unwieldy, but I've been very careful when washing it. I don't put it in the dishwasher since a short soak and soft scrub cleans it right up. I have to confess, to get the free shipping, I actually bought two. I figured there are times when we host parties that two casseroles would be perfect. My next experiment is going to be bread pudding. I think it will be great. The basic cooking technique with this cooker is 3 hours on high, or 5 hours on low for whatever you make. You should buy one.

My sister has one that she brought for Thanksgiving and cooked her lasagna in it. We had several other dishes needing to go into the oven, so this was a nice alternative. It worked great. It was spacious (9"x13") and the pot could be lifted out to serve and later wash. My niece added it to her Christmas list because she liked it so much, which is the reason I bought it.

My first prepared dish for a company potluck, was a huge success thanks to this wonderful crockpot. The macaroni and cheese cooked perfectly and was nicely displayed in the casserole dish. Loved it so much, I repeated the dish for my family a few days later!

This item was a gift for daughter in-law.My daughter-in-law was so excited when it arrived she got to pick it up it was just what she wanted .. She loves using crock pots for she has 3 children and their lives are very busy this way she can have meals ready when they are available to have a meal... They decided it would work just perfect to take along when they go camping to have food ready and not have to tie up her time... She to can have fun.

Have made two of the recipes in the little cookbook that came with it and they were delicious. I like this model because it makes casserole size dinners that make more than enough for two meals for two people. The meals cook in 2-3 hours. It’s just right for two people and doesn’t take up much storage space.

I had high hopes for this product, but my husband and a guest ( separate occasions) were burned because the outside of the dish becomes very very hot when touched. - not going to use this one in the near future...glad there are no children in our house!
