Beautiful 2 Slice Toaster with Touch-Activated Display, White Icing by Drew Barrymore

Let's talk bling...YES! This toaster is beautiful (and if you are shallow like me, that counts). It was given good reviews, though the price was a bit higher than what I wanted to spend, however I went for it. It DOES toast evenly across a slice of bread. That is what I wanted. Only thing I want to keep my eye on is the sliding lever lowering the bread. At times it seems not to want to hold, but let's wait and see. I love my toaster!

The toaster is even prettier than the picture shows. The design is a good heavy toaster with easy to operate screen for your selection of toasted level, bread, and or other pastries such as bagels. It is not a flimsy toaster and has beautiful design and texture. Above all it does a great job on where you said it and the results that you get on your toast. Great job!

Drew Barrymore's “Beautiful” line is indeed beautiful, attractive. (get it?!). It is heavy. I'm disappointed it is so large, big in size on my counter. I saw the dimensions online but think it would be taking up so much space. It was a bit pricey for a toaster but she's a celebrity.

Beautiful, easy to use BUT loud toaster! The only reason this toaster was returned was due to the loud beeping noise when toast was done. At 5am having this beeping noise going off in the house when others are sleeping or even for the person trying to get their day started wasn't going to work for my family.

I like everything about this toaster with the exception of the volume of the notice buttons. When it gets plugged in and when you select a setting for your items to be toasted. It is obnoxiously loud. I'm standing right next to it to plug it in and select the setting, having a loud buzzer sound in my ear is annoying. Other than that I like the look, design, and performance.

It has a flashing light that is on unless the unit is unplugged from the wall. Too many touches to change the darkness level of toast. It seems slow compared to my cheap, old toaster. But, it works and is quiet. A simpler, cheaper toaster would probably be better.

Out of the five toasters I have purchased in my lifetime, this is the worst one by far! I chose it because it had a high rating on Consumer Reports and it had wide slots and bagel and frozen settings. However, Consumer Reports noted that it had “uneven toasting,” which was a con ascribed to several other top rated models so I took a chance and purchased it. Big Mistake! The uneven toasting is terrible; picture barely toasted on one side and very dark - almost charred - on the other. Both slots have this problem. When you look inside during toasting, you see that the heating coils in the entire middle section on one side of each slot does not glow orange like the rest of the coils. The light to dark toasting setting does not matter. The problem remains. This isn't a little problem…it is a complete failure to toast one side of the bread. (And yes, I had it on the normal setting and not the bagel setting that only toasts the inside sides.)

This toaster is terrible. It toasts one side black the other side very light. I do believe though it is a production quality issue. I returned it for a refund.

I bought this toaster after getting a recommendation from a friend who said it had high reviews in Consumer Reports, I use to get CR and based a lot of my purchases on it but this one is way off. First of all, the toaster itself doesn't toast bread evenly, on the right, the bread burns on one side and leaves the other side mildly toasted. The left side toasted evenly the first couple of times but is now doing the same as the right. That alone is enough to return it but the cincher is the "on" lever doesn't latch ON easily when pushed down, and pushing down harder tips the unit forward...there has to be a precise medium in order to get it to work just right.

Drew Barrymore is a very likable presence sunscreen. Alas, her beautiful toaster was not beautiful to us. Why? As others have noted, it makes a loud , annoying sound when the toast is done. Not my idea of a peaceful start to the morning. Additionally it is flimsy beyond all belief. I remember when I was younger we would get a toaster for maybe $10 and it was cheap and we didn't expect it to last forever, but it was way better than this one. This is flimsy. When you go to press down on the lever, so the bread will go down and toast, the whole thing tips. It is that light and that, well, flimsy. I did not care for the aesthetics of the design either. The large be? Not necessary the plastic gold knob? Cheesy. I am extremely surprised that consumer reports give it its highest rating amongst lower priced toasters. I am surprised it gave it a good rating at all and I start to wonder about consumer reports and how they're doing their research. Do not buy this. Buy something else. It couldn't be more disappointing. We have already bought a different toaster from a different brand at a different store. No offense to Walmart, we've gotten many fine things there, but this is one thing Walmart should not be selling.
