Cuisinart Plastic Compact 2 Slice White Toaster

My Mom and I went on a vacation and they had this toaster in the house we rented. Before owning this I was using an air fryer with a toast option for toasting. It did not work well. This toaster works wonderful. It toasts both side of the bread evenly, quickly and it easy clean up. I like that the crumb tray is located at the back of the machine, so you don't see it.

As stated in many testing reviews, this is one of the few that gets the most "bang for the buck." Read the reviews for performance and pricing information. My family is very pleased, including our four-legged family member Mio-chan, who loves crunchy toast.

I purchased this toaster with an expectation that I would be disappointed despite the Cuisinart name. I am pleased to say that turned out not to be true! From the first time I put a slice of bread in, the toaster has consistently toasted my bread evenly and perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone , excellent value for the money!

Just got this new toaster and haven’t used it yet. Looks great. I like that it is designed for bagels and Texas toast. I purchased the black one to match other kitchen appliances. Looking forward to using it but been out of town so it’s just looking pretty. Ive had their coffee makers for the past dozen years with the last one lasting almost 6 years making 2-3 pots a day and I just replaced it at the same time. I’ve been happy and satisfied with their products and service when needed. Highly recommend them.

Pretty and compact! Slots are too short for artisan bread so I cut them in half to get each end toasted at same time. This appliance is so quiet, I don’t even hear it when toast pops up. I would sh the darkness settings were a little more dark, as I like heavy toasting.

This Cuisinart toaster was a replacement for a Cuisinart toaster very similar which I purchased about 15 years ago. It has been a great toaster, but it was time for a new one. It is toasting my morning bagels evenly and the size of the toaster fits well on my countertop.

I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" is true. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the toaster being a Cuisinart and their reputation for being of higher quality. That was the main reason that we purchased it. I feel the plastic outside is very cheap and disappointing and its toasting quality isn't that great either.

I have only had the toaster for a few weeks and it's working okay, but I find that you have to use a very low setting, less than a 3, or the toast gets very dark, almost burnt. Between 2 and 3 isn't enough but 3 gets pretty well done. Not sure what would happen on a higher setting, haven't wanted to try it. Also haven't tried the bagel setting for the same reason. I have an older model and it doesn't have the same issue which why I bought the same toaster for a second home.

It toasts, unevenly; control dial feels about to fall off. This is the third one of this model we've owned The first one we sent back immediately because it toasted only one side in one of the slots. Second one did exactly the same but we decided to live with it. I don't have high hopes for the longevity of this one, but Wirecutter recommends it, all things considered.

I like well toasted toast, not burned, but crispy. On the highest setting, my toast comes out at a medium level of toasted at best (sometimes more medium-low). For having 7 setting levels, I find this pretty shocking. Even more so since this was a Wirecutter recommendation. I'm very disappointed and wish I had purchased a different toaster. What are the other 6 settings even for?
