I've always wanted to try an emersion blender and finally took the plunge. The Cuisinart Smart Stick is easy to use, powerful and is extremely well made. It does not look or feel flimsy. Made corn chowder when I got it - worked beautifully! Why did I wait so long to buy one? Love it!
There isn't many things this blender can't do. I love making homemade soups, dressings, sauces, the list goes on. It is also awesome for desserts like milkshakes, smoothies, and whipping up egg whites for meringue or whipping heavy cream for whipped cream. It is the most used appliance in my kitchen. Great as a gift for someone who loves to cook! 👍
I'm new to immersion type blenders but want to make vegan cheese and more so I bought this one because I wanted something quality and lasting. So far so good!
I love this thing! So efficient and fun to use. It saves me from cleaning a whole blender and blades because I can just stick it into the existing pot I'm using.
1. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. 2. I have small hands; it was comfortable to use. 3. I was happy to find an option that did not include an array of unnecessary attachments which duplicate appliances that I already have.
I had a very old immersion blender that was perfectly okay but wasn't as powerful as I'd have liked. This Cuisinart has shown what I was missing all this time. Highly recommended. Solid performer.
Cuisinart stick blender is used to make a smooth blend for homemade soups. It works very well. To clean the blender blades I rinse in soapy dish water. Blades can be soaked if food is stuck on them. This is my second stick blender. The first one was used at least weekly over several years until I had worn it out. I do not recommend this stick blender be used to crush ice for a smoothie, the blades will become miss aligned and eventually the blender will short out.
This is a very useful tool that I use daily. I like having only 2 choices of speed, although the top speed seems to be not as fast as some cheaper hand blenders I've used. The materials used for the casing appear to be more durable than the cheaper blenders, so I'm hoping this one will last longer than 3-6 months.
I was very disappointed that there were two buttons that I must press to blend. My other stick blender only had a start button and this one is much more difficult to operate.
Having to press both the Power button and the other button at the same time to start the stick is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous bkz 2 hands are really needed to press both buttons at once and the force with which the Stick jumps into action makes the mixing bowl slide out from under the Stick or just start spinning before you can hold it down with one of your hands once the Power button is no longer needed. Short of using a concrete grade weighted bowl, I could think of no safe solution to this setup. So I returned the product. Disappointed but knowing it was a dangerous tool.
