Cord is a generous 64.5 inches long with a swivel base. It does have a needed wire pivot stand and the clamp (that is .25” short to the 7/8” long black rubber tip grab end). I do think this kit needs a temperature glove to help roll the hair up without burning your hand, especially when warning about burning your scalp. Other high temperature curling irons do come with a temperature glove. Very high temperatures thus lots of warnings like over a dozen.
The other thing I personally don't care for is their off position in the middle of the control or between the 2 temperature position of 450 and 430 degrees.
USING IT: This is the 4th ceramic device I have gotten and evaluated, so I have been learning a lot. A true ceramic device is extremely slippery to the point it is almost impossible to use thus a clap design is required. The box on this one said “ceramic styling surface”. It was plenty slippery and hot! Yes, it heats up very fast (said 30 seconds on box).
I used the lowest temperature of 430 degrees and definitely wished they had supplied a needed temperature glove! I did burn my thumb knuckle (no blister but still burning). I also noticed that both the black holding end and wire stand also got too hot while using. I only divided my very long hair into 7 bundles. I found more hair was better then to little, for wrapping up the hair. Also I found that the starter hair ends worked best, if I first wrapped at least twice, if not 3 times under the clamp, before rolling up the hair.
A true ceramic device on clean hair will hold the curl all day without any hair product! Of course, first allowing the hair to cool in place. I did cork screw curls for judging. This curling iron certainly passed the test for good curing hold!
Please use your own temperature glove and watch out for the wire stand heating up your counter top. Shut off just as soon as done!
Enjoy your curls.😍
