Danby 1000W 1.1 Cubic Feet Convenient User-Friendly Countertop Microwave, White

I am happy with this microwave. It was very hard to find what is white inside and outside too. It is easier to see if there is something inside what needs to clean out.

I have been searching for a small white countertop Microwave and it is has been difficult. I found some but they charged too much for the exact one that I purchased from Walmart. This is perfect for my needs. I don't cook in a Microwave. I use it to warm food, only. More importantly, it doesn't take a lot of counter space.

This is a 1.1 cu.ft. 1000 watt replacement of my longtime basic Daewoo 0.9 cu.ft. 900 watt microwave oven. I switched popcorn brands and the one I now prefer requires a 12.4" turntable in order for a package to revolve without stopping dead on a wall of the oven as it expands. Danby has other upgraded features which I've learned are well worth Walmart's very reasonable cost of $119.99. Also, it is white like the Daewoo so fits in with my major kitchen appliances.

We purchased a new Danby microwave to replace our previous one, which was still working great after about 10 years, but the control panel was worn out. The new Danby looks even better than the old (the control panel of the new one is white instead of black) and it works great.

This product was exactly what I wanted. All instructions are easy to understand and there is not dozens of buttons to worry about. I had one that had so many features I never used half of them. I got a white which goes with everything. The sale price was very good as well.

Very nice, attractive microwave with high wattage (1,000). Very, very quiet! Good mid-size turntable. Large display buttons. In response to other reviews, "door clunk" when closing and turntable rotating in opposite directions are normal. Roller noise can happen sometimes in any microwave but is not necessarily a motor issue. Also, most all brands of microwaves are made in China by Midea with minor feature variations. Like Kenmore (Sears), Danby does not make their own products, but they have a nice microwave design here.

This is my second Danby microwave. I bought the same make as a replacement because my first one worked very well and lasted a number of years. My only negative remarks would be the awful loud noise when the microwave first starts. Thankfully it goes away in just a few seconds. The other change I don't like is that the microwave can't be programmed when the timer is on, which was not the case with my other one. Otherwise, this microwave works very well and I think a popular change would be the one-button operation for a number of programs. Everyone likes things done quickly today and Danby now has rapid cook with one-touch buttons, for like a quick 30-second, or 1 min., etc.

I really like this microwave, but a few things aren't convenient. I had a REALLY hard time getting the clock set. It isn't straight forward like most are. I still haven't figured out how to use the timer without messing up the clock. I like having only to press "1" for one minute, but there isn't a way to just set seconds other than pressing the "add 30 seconds" or pressing one, counting down, and then having to stop it. It would be nice to be able to set just seconds, like 20 or 40 seconds. The instruction manual isn't very good.

We like the display %26 ease of use however there are a few problems. It doesn't matter what setting this microwave is loud, very loud. Also it has tripped the breaker twice when we've turned it on. It's been in use a month %26 we're trying to decide whether to replace with the same type unit or go to a different manufacturer.

Delivery was quick but the microwave seemed to have a problem with the rotating plate having too much friction and hence the motor sounded like it was ready to take off way too noisy and rotating plate struggled. One could hear the microwave from the lower floor. It got returned.
