Darice Craft Heat Tool With Stand

This heat gun is just what I was hoping for. It has a consistent steady stream of hot air that I can focus on a small area to get the effect I was looking for. Doesn't get so hot I can't handle it. Doesn't make lots of noise and what sound there is, isn't loud. Compact and light, easy to use. So far I have not had any issues with it and hope that continues.

Works perfect for my needs. Gets hot fast, easy to use, lightweight. Definitely recommend.

I bought an expensive ($45) heat tool from Michael's last year. Literally, it lasted less than a hour! The Darice Heat Tool, heated fast; is sturdy and although you have to decide when it's 'too hot' and 'the motor might burn out' yourself, I could use it continually for a full minute without that happening. At less than $16 with shipping directly to the store, I couldn't be happier! The cord seems extra long, too!

This heat tool heats-up quickly. The less than excellent rating is because the stand is not that stable for the weight of this heater. When you're trying to work quickly, it might tip over. Great price.

I don't believe the heat tool heated up to the supposed temperature it claims it can reach (640 F). I would guess somewhere around half that or just a bit over half that. It's still a nice little device that will likely suit your needs.

This heat tool works well for melting embossing powder crystals to create embossed images. However, every time I have used it, the paper on which is my embossing becomes distorted; it was no longer flat. This is true for the thinner scrapbook paper as well as cardstock. It is possible that this is a result of holding the device too close, but when I held it out further it seemed to take much too long to melt the crystals while the paper still became wavy from overwarming. I would recommend if the other models are not within one's price range.

Okay tool. Doesn't get as hot as I would have liked.

protective head started to let due to heated part being poorly designed and bent too close to the cover so I returned it to the store to be shipped back for a full refund

The metal blower inside was tilted to one side at the end which caused it to melt on the tip and made a drippy looking bump on it. I had this site to store, which is nice, but, had i been able to see it, i wouldnt have purchased this one. Would be nice if the people who pull the merchandise for shipping knew what to look for, and would actually check the products for damage before shipping and stop wasting our time, and of course the shipping fees. It worked nicely, i liked it other than that. Perhaps the on/off is to accessible i kept it unplugged to prevent accidental turn on.

I loved it for about 5 minutes. then it powered down and died.so it wasnt worth buying!!!
