Totally transformed my back porch. Beautiful color!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this on our RV gate, and it turned out great! The Dark Walnut color gave the wood a rich, beautiful finish, and the semi-gloss look is perfect. It went on smoothly and dried quickly, making the whole process easy and efficient. After a few coats, the gate looks fantastic and has held up well against the weather so far. I'll really be able to tell how it holds up after the intense heat of the summer here in the desert. We're really happy with how it turned out and would definitely recommend it for outdoor projects!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this stain for some old outdoor wooden chairs and this stain looks perfect if you're trying to go for an outdoor rustic look. I'm no expert in stains, but for this stain was easy to use and cleanup.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wood stain by Varathane is by far one of my favorites. I wasn't big on the water-based but it changed my mind. It's easy to use, dries faster than expected, it goes on so smoothly, the odor isn't as bad as I expected either. Definitely worth the change!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this exterior stain color. This is the project I made with the stain. It seems to be holding up great in this outside cold weather. It does take a little bit longer of drying time, but I believe that is because of how cold it is right now. Very minimal odor. Great stain overall will definitely use again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color of this stain. I made two night stands and this was easy to use and dried rather quickly. The color was perfect for my project. It was easily cleaned up with water. There is an odor but nothing overpowering. .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm glad I was able to get the Kona Semi-Gloss Water-Based Exterior Spar Urethane Stain. The color is perfect not to dark or light just great. I used about two coats and it came out looking brand new like I just bought it from the store. There was no strong odor at all and it dry right away. I'll be using the rest for my other projects I have.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use stain! I love the color and the coverage is amazing. It also matched the siding on my home perfectly! I made a bit of a mess with it but thankfully it was really easy to clean up. Highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This stain plus polyurethane is a all in one paint. Its water-based exterior paint has a rich dark color. It easily applies and only needs one coat. It didn't have a strong odor and dried fast. I totally enjoyed using this stuff and absolutely love the color.
Stain did not penetrate into wood-didn't have a real topcoat To me, it seemed more like in opaque paint-that-covered over in the wood grain and left dark streaks from the paint brush bristles. It was thick, and would gather in the corners and around the edges leaving dark spots that would not sand without leaving a bare spots that were hard to reply color evenly. After four coats, it looked like a piece of plastic instead of a wooden cabinet door I completely sanded and scraped the product off. It was labor intensive and difficult to remove completely. My next move is to buy Minwax stain and Minwax hybrid oil, water urethane.
