I'm unsure about this product mine is heating my tank up past 82 which is dangerous for my beta

I purchased this for my betta after upgrading him to a 5 gallon tank. The product works just like it says it will. The problem is, 82 degrees Fahrenheit is too warm for a betta. Once my tank hit 82, my betta acted stressed out and stayed in one spot as far away from the heater as he could. I wasn't sure what was going on at first, I checked my water parameters and everything was great. I had to do some research and found that his behavior was more than likely associated to the temperature of his tank. I turned off the heater and after a little bit, it dropped to 81 and he started to act better. Once it hit 80, he was back to normal. The ideal temp for betta's is 75 to 80. I'm giving it 2 stars because it does work like it suppose to, I just can't recommend it for a betta which is pictured.

I do like the digital thermometer, but the heater kept running way too hot, and there's no way to adjust your heat.It's automatic, so it's not gonna work for me.

It overheats the water. It supposes to be automatically turned off as it hits 82 F, but in reality, it went up to 86 F unlit I turned it off by myself.
