I am allergic to whey protein but i can eat these. I bought a box since my daughter is the model for the ad you see! She raved about them and said she ate 4 bars during the photo shoot. I am astounded at my ability to tolerate the whey. Maybe its better quality? I Highly recommend!!!!!
In general I love these bars and recommend them but I do not think the inclusion of sugar alcohols is desirable or necessary. I think the bars taste too sweet and I question why a natural NNS such as stevia or monkfruit could not be used? Otherwise the bars are great, lots of variety in flavors and excellent customer service.
I absolutely love these protein bars!! Upon starting a subscription, I received a free gift of each flavor and loved every single one of them. Thank you!! I'm hooked!! I think they are reasonably priced for the amount of protein available in each low-calorie bar.
Finding a snack that genuinely supports intense training without tasting like sweetened cardboard has been a lifelong quest of mine. Enter the David Gold High Protein Bars. When I saw they packed a massive 28 grams of protein into a single serving, my immediate thought was that they would compromise heavily on flavor or texture, as is the industry standard for high-yield bars. I was entirely wrong. These bars have completely redefined my post-workout nutrition strategy, blending elite-level macros with an absolutely phenomenal snacking experience. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk flavor profile is an absolute triumph. Most high-protein snacks suffer from a distinct, unpleasant chalkiness or a jaw-fatiguing chewiness, but David Gold has engineered something entirely different here. The texture is perfectly soft-baked and dense, providing a satisfying bite that yields easily. Every single bar is generously studded with actual, rich chocolate chunks that melt beautifully alongside the deep, roasted peanut butter base. It genuinely feels like I am cheating on my diet with a premium bakery treat rather than consuming a highly functional nutritional supplement. From a performance standpoint, that 28-gram protein payload is exactly what my muscles need for immediate recovery after a heavy lifting session. Because the protein blend is clearly of high quality, it digests smoothly without any of the heavy, sluggish bloating that often accompanies dense sports nutrition bars. I have also found them to be an incredibly effective meal replacement when my schedule gets chaotic. The satiety factor is off the charts; eating just one of these keeps my hunger completely locked down for hours, providing a steady, sustained energy release without an inevitable sugar crash. The 12-count box is incredibly convenient, and I make sure to keep a stash everywhere—my gym bag, my office desk, and the center console of my truck. The packaging is robust enough to survive being tossed around, and the bars themselves hold up surprisingly well to temperature changes, avoiding that melted, sticky disaster typical of other chocolate-heavy snacks. If you are serious about your fitness goals but refuse to sacrifice the simple joy of eating something delicious, the David Gold Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk bars are an absolute must-have. They deliver uncompromising flavor and serious nutrition in one perfect, portable package.
These bars are so good! They have good flavor - but not too sweet. They are filling - and I love the high protein and no sugar. They take away my hunger and I can go all afternoon with level energy and no 3 pm slump ! In my opinion they are worth it- I used to eat 2 protein bars in a day and now I only need 1. I can't wait to try other flavors
Finally after fruitlessly searching many, many years. . . . I have found perfection in a protein bar. Reasonable caloric count, no added sugar, great amount of protein, as filling as a sandwich and tastes as good as a candy bar! How could it get better than that? I will be subscribing when my current stash runs out. And if you are looking for a great protein bar. . . . you should too!
One of my favorites, by far! Best eaten fresh or from the refrigerator, as suggested by David, as the peanut butter flavors can have an odd smell that gets stronger the longer the bar sits on a shelf (taste is not affected). These bars are a great addition to a day's intake. They're filling and have good flavor. I love the slightly salty crunch - and the chocolate chunks are perfect, no weird taste as can sometimes happen with these kinds of products.
These protein bars are delicious! They have great protein, they are low calorie, have a good texture and taste good. They also do not give the normal protein bar stomach upset. Even the family members in my house who hate most protein bars love these. Highly recommend!
I did my research before buying these and found them so far above the other options available, that I immediately subscribed to monthly deliveries. The protein to calorie ratio is perfect for my daily 4:00 snack. . . fits right into my macro count and holds me over until dinner. The peanut butter chocolate chunk is my favorite, but I have tried all of the samples as well and have yet to be disappointed. I will continue to be a loyal customer and look forward to any future developments!
