I've been using this product for years and it's absolutely perfect. I love that it cleans my dish as well, cuts grease and doesn't have any of the harmful chemicals or fragrances.
Why in the world would you add lemon essence to a “free and clear” product? I don't need my dish detergent making my kitchen smell good, I need it to clean my dishes without ANY smell, whatsoever. It's a shame you found the need to change what was a wonderful product for very allergic customers, it's so disappointing! I will not be using Dawn.
I have used Dawn dish detergent for years. The regular blue original Dawn. Now that you have changed to a new scent, whatever is in that fragrance is causing me an allergic reaction. I will no longer be using Dawn as a dish soap and it's a shame because in my opinion, it was the best one for the job. I would have rated it a five star rating if you still had the original dawn with the original scent. However, now it gets a one star.
Dawn original scent was something I could use with my allergies but they changed the scent to new “fresh scent” so the only way to buy original scent is really the new fresh scent. Who was complaining about the original scent? For those of us with scent allergies, really disappointed in Dawn. I'll have to find another product as both the platinum and original scent now give me headaches.
Very misleading saying free and clear. Please make a fragrance free product. Thank you.
Consumers expect a product labeled "Free and Clear" to be free of dyes AND FRAGRANCE. P&G is being very deceptive by putting "Free and Clear" in large bold letters and then putting "Of Dyes" in tiny print. There is a market for fagrance free and customers are willing to pay a premium for it. PLEASE OFFER THE FAGRANCE FREE IN THE REFILLABLE BOTTLE.
It's about time the Dawn provided a fragrance-free product. I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. I don't care if a product is transparent unless it's an indication that it's ingredients are safe (non-toxic, non-irritating, etc.) and has NO FRAGRANCE, Heads up! Essential oils are not safe. Please read the excellent and extensive research by Anne Steinemann on fragrances. She discovered that so-called "natural" essential oils all had solvents and compounds that cause adverse health effects. Personally, I find lemon, even the real fruit squeezed on my food, to be stinging to my eyes and sinuses. Why would I want it in a dish soap? What makes you cleaning manufacturers so allergic to ;providing truly fragrance-free products??? What's wrong with just clean? And, yes, it is misleading to label a lemon scented dish soap and free and clear just because you can see though the bottle For many years I have been wanting a truly scent-free Dawn product because it an excellent grease-cutter, but this is NOT IT.
I was very happy to purchase a free and clear product from Dawn. I had a horrible reaction to the fragrance! This product is not free and clear! Free and clear is fragrance/perfume free. Please make a real free and clear product that has ZERO fragrance added. Many children and adults have life threatening reactions to fragrances, this product can cause it.
We need unscented options. Our world is already horribly over-scented, yet we are bombarded with "new and improved, stronger and longer lasting scent" products every day. Products we used to love are being "improved" to the point that they are unhealthy for many of us to use, causing severe headaches and other problems. More and more people are becoming sensitive to scented products these days, especially those who have had permanent health damage due to COVID. Bring back the unscented version please !!
I love the original Blue Dawn but I've developed Multiple Chemical Sensitivity during the past 8+ years due to overexposure to fragrances & man made scents. I understand the use of alcohol in your product fumes but they're are practically intolerable. I tried a different brand altogether - “the juice of one whole lemon” was used in their adverts to give you a hint. it seems they've started to use lemon essential oil in their dish soap. You can't rinse the feel off unless you stand there for 5-10 minutes trying to rinse the slimy feel off. Fragrance-free means just that. It's not the same as unscented which usually means a masking fragrance has been added to cover up the chemical smells. I'm honestly considering the use of baking soda to wash my dishes, pots, utensils, etc. from now on. I honestly don't know why people want some flowery smell clinging to their hands or washed items. It's like the folks who use plug-ins in their kitchen. It's oil droplets that help the stink get released into the air. We breathe it in, our kids and pets breathe it in and after years of use, it leaves a film on everything. Maybe I missed one of your fragrance-free dish soaps but I've yet to find any on my local store shelves. Get rid of the fragrances. Please!
