I thought this was the tree that stands freely. It has to be put on a fence or wall. I figured it out and liked it so much, I also got the star. Next Christmas, they will hang on my fence.

I put them up by flipping a lightweight rope over a tree limb. I have a 1 poun d weight on the lead end of the rope then hoist it up. Temporarily tie it off so you can undo each light string, then adjust for height. You can have a tall narrow tree, a short wide one or anything in between.

Overall a nice light set. Easy setup but don't follow directions of unwind all the lights first. Instead plug in and test first then hang up and individually unroll each line as you put up else you'll be like me “untangling dangling strings”. Lol lights are secure and very pretty bright etc. push button on box puts it in different modes.

The differnt light patterns are so pretty I I change them everyday cuz they're all so pretty and nice bright brilliant colors too.

Loved the light very colorful and bright they have a couple settings for blinking lights settings. Lights are good length for my Christmas tree. Only thing was I wasn't sure how to set the Star on top of tree, doesn't have like a cone to set up on top. I just wrapped a couple tree branches to the star so it wouldn't fall off. Other than that they worked perfectly.

It works HOWEVER the listing AND paperwork inside the box have it as a star topper….its a Christmas tree. So unless shares changed in the last 40 years, it's not what we were expecting or ordered.

I specifically bought it bc it went with our theme.. I purchased the Star one.. I was sent the Christmas tree one.. We probably won't be using it this year..

This was supposed to be a star to go on top of a tree, but instead it is a really cheap looking TREE to go on top of a tree. Nope. Returning this for something else.

Says it comes with a remote. no remote. what we supposed to crawl under the tree to change settings? also shows star mounted to tree .. no way to mount it. pure junk. i guess you could duct tape it. thats about the quality of this company and product.

I got a tree instead of a star!!! That's isn't quite what I ordered!! A "tree" doesn't look quite right with a nativity scene now does it?
