Defender Ultra HD 4K (8MP) 1TB Wired Outdoor Security System with 4 Night Vision Cameras

We previously had security cameras but the manufacturer went out of business and no longer gave support for them. After researching several brands I decided to give Defender a try. Delivery was delayed several days but when they arrived I had them installed and was very pleased with the clarity of the picture making me feel i made the best choice!

The new 4K system is much easier than the older systems. For the DVR, it was basically plug it into the power and the router. Then plugging in the cameras. I has previous camera wiring for an older system and have used it for the new 4K along with the old cameras. I plan to run the newer camera wires to replace the older one along with the new cameras. I'll change them one-by-one as time permits.

Recently purchased this system, its it is very good for the price, image quality is just enough for surveillance of your home. Defender maybe though can look into offering some compatible LPR technology in the near future to be able to see/ provide lisence plates to authorities during a hit and run or something.. thank you guys!!

Fairly easy to install but the app lacks functionality and one of the cameras didn't work

Se ven muy bien pero cuando pasó una grabación no puedo hacerlo rápido y si busco algo que pasó nesecito saber la hora exacta y si no la sé tengo que estar todo el día mirando la grabación.y lo otro es que no tienen volumen pensé que era algo normal que todas la tenían.

This is the second unit I have bought. The system has great features which I like. The problem is only 3 out of 4 cameras worked. I had purchased a unit with 8 cameras before and only 7 out of 8 worked. I called the company and did not get a resolution. Just be ware.

I purchased this system in early November and had to return the DVR,because right out of the box it would not work.Today is December 18th and I already received my credit card bill for the system and I am still waiting for the replacement DVR.This is my first online purchase from Sam's Club and would be my last using my Sam's Chase credit card.This system was supposed to be an upgrade to my old system,so since November I have been out of security surveillance on my home.This is one time the online purchase was not worth it. Straight out of the box the DVR was not working and they continuously kept implying I must of connected something wrong and after proving to them numerous times it was the dvr that was not functional they finally replaced it for me but I also had trouble with my 4 camera it doesn't work either I've checked the ports the cable everything even the camera settings as they instructed works as it should it's simply the camera it self that isn't functioning and they still haven't replaced it for me they continue giving me a hard time I've sent them pictures of everything being connected correctly and everything and they'll take days to answer me back with an other excuse horrible product I DO NOT!!!!!!! Recommend I suggest purchasing either Swann or Night Owl cameras I have installed several of those systems and they haven't given me any problems what so ever so please do not waist your time or hard earned money on this worthless system
