I've use a few 'dip w/Q-tip' spot treatments on the market, and by far Derma-E is the most effective and not as harsh. I use it mostly on my nose area, which is prone to painful cystic acne. The product gently reduces the inflammation and allows healing without over drying. Fantastic formula.
This product is so effective that I'd rate it 20 stars. I have been plagued with hormonal acne from time to time and this has completely cleared my complexion. I highly recommend. Pimples are cleared up within 1-3 days. If you catch the blemish right away it will be gone by morning.
I have used this only on an as needed basis. But so far it definitely has helped with some bad breakouts. It does leave a pinkish tint after applying so I only use at night and rinse off in the morning. It does not burn but I could see if you over used having more dry skin in the application area.
Cool product for the big, bright red and deep pimples. I use this as needed for those really bad zits. Its really is simple, don't shake it or lay it on its side. Just get a q-tip, dip it to the bottom and swirl for some product and dab it on your large zit and let it air dry. Then just go to sleep and rinse off in the morning. Works really well after a few days. It's different for each person's skin and pimples. Could be overnight or let's say a week, so def try it out for emergencies days ahead of some event.
I use the Sulfur Spot Treatment whenever I feel the beginning of a blemish. I will put it on after my moisturizer at night and usually by the next morning the blemish is gone, or it is starting to disappear. I also use it to help control the blackheads on my nose.
I don't often get a problem spot, but I'm starting to get these pre-menopausal single zits that pop up in uncomfortable places...right in the crevice by the nose, inside corner of the eyebrow...and they don't want to be popped so they sit there and flare up and hurt. I bought this on a whim because the salicylic acid pads and other washes don't do it and many blemish washes are too harsh for my skin. A dab of this stuff though, and those stupid little pimples come right to a head. It just seems to draw the junk right out of them. Note that this does have a color to it, so you'll probably want to use it in the evening.
I love the sulfur spot treatment. I apply this spot treatment every night (after I apply the hydrating night cream from derma-e) with a q-tip to any troubled acne spots (cystic/pustular). I notice that when I wake up in the morning my acne is not red/raised as it had been prior to application. I highly recommend this product!
Seen results right away. I used it in the morning and evening at first. Now I only use it at night. I love the vitamin C line. Especially the gentle daily cleanse paste. A little goes a long way. I also use the concentrated serum, renewing moisturizer and intense night cream. Came across the product in a review in Oprah's magazine.. love it!!!
The thing I ready don't like about this is the pink it leaves on your face. It worked ok for me. not very good I'd rather a good salicylic acid spot treatment. There is one from Skin Ceuticals (Blemish & Age) that works like a miracle, but it's very pricey and I prefer to support smaller businesses that have a good mission, that I fee aligned with. But dang, if Derma E could make one like that, it would sell like hotcakes! I'm a medical esthetician, so I see what sells, what really works and would love to recc more prods to my clients from Derma E.
I love, love, love this product! I must ask, am I the only one who has an issue with the shipping???? Seriously.... I won't be ordering this from Walmart ever again, I'd rather buy locally and pay significantly more. I'm sickened by their blatant wastefulness.
