DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX Cordless Brushless Oscillating Multi Tool (Tool Only) DCS354B

This thing will cut like a really big tool but it's small and light and easily gets into even the smallest of spots it makes fast work of some of the biggest jobs the only bad part was that mine only came with only one blade but I will get me some more later on but now I can make do with the one blade the speed at which it cuts is cool so I really like it.

This new, tool only, genuine DeWalt oscillating tool came in a regular cardboard box with only one blade although the add said it contained two, but it was half the price of big box store, looks unused and continues to perform perfectly well. It was a great deal at $89 with free shipping. Some reviewers didn't like that it comes in an unmarked cardboard box, but.. who cares?

Perfect tool in the DeWalt collection. Fits the 20V platform so battery swaps are easy. Tool-less blade change is great, though the spring is very tight. Really need to push to unlock blade, but better than the alternative. Handle has good weight and trigger has on and lock-on positions.

I actually already had a nice Fein oscillating tool but sprung for cordless Dewalt and.... lets say I don't use the corded Fein any more. The Dewalt 20v is more than powerful enough, no cord is so much more useful for the one off kind of jobs this tool is ideal for, and it's a pleasure to use. Two things stand out to me. First the blade lock is designed to be super easy to use/change. And second the variable speed trigger is key allowing you to adjust speed and power to application. One of those tools you didn't realize you needed until you have it to solve all the random problems that come up fixing a house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

hand held, light and easy to use for many jobs.

I bought this as a replacement for an cheaper/corded version of an oscillating cutter and it was a great investment. The tool has wonderful features, like the variable speed trigger that allows you to slowly and accurately approach a cut. This has saved me alot of clean up work in corners etc. The chuck has radial spines that allow you to position the blade at various angles which really helps to get the tool into tight spots. The LED work is very bright, but I'm not 100% on its placement. I often find myself blocking the light and need to reposition to take advantage of it. The trigger lock is very useful, if you are doing a long or deep cut. Any variety of this tool has a decent amount of vibration, and being able to lock the trigger on so you can use your full grib to hold onto if is great. Battery life is great, I have been using it with my 5amp 20v batteries and have yet to run into an issue with performance. In a pinch I have thrown a 3amp 20v on it, but I try to avoid this cause it does drain them fairly fast. Form factor is great, tool is well balanced and light enough that i dont mind throwing in my bag for every job I go on. I've been using a cheap blade set I found on amazon, it really doesn't matter how much you pay for a blade... if you hit a nail/screw its ruined and the bi melt blades aren't aggressive enough to efficiently cut wood .. so why pay more than 1-2 bucks a blade. Buy them in bulk and you won't be upset when you ruin one (or 4) making a cut. My one big hang up on it is the lack of a utility hook. It would be great to hang this on my belt while positioning for the cut (climbing ladder etc), but for some reason they stopped just shy of allowing you to have said hook. As you can see from the pictures I included it has the same spot molded into the handle that any dewalt drill would have. But for some unknown reason they didn't include the hole or the molded nut inside the handle. I will probably break down and modify the tool so I can use one of these hooks, but it would have been nice to have it set up like this right out of the box. All in all, I highly recommend this tool. An oscillating cutter is super useful tool for a craftsman to have, and dewalt has made a quailty version of this tool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've tried many oscillating tools over the years. And DeWalt usually has the smoothest and most quiet available. This particular one however is quite loud unfortunately. But still not a deal breaker. It's durable and comfortable to use. As well as having enough umph to get the job done. Aside from the decibel level being higher than most I still highly recommend this tool. Especially for the power and smooth operation

Item appears to be new and is functioning properly... but was supposed to be brand new in original box.. came wrapped in plastic and no dewalt box. tried to contact the seller and ask about new or refurbished, and about or

every thing went right but opened package to find a DCS369 saw not the DCS354 that was ordered, called and was transfered by AI to a human that never answered.
