Whether you're starting a cozy fire or firing up the grill, these matches make it easy.
Diamond Strike On Box Matches are low priced well. Sometimes $8.99 to $10.99 for three boxes of 300 matches. They work well if you're using a lighter fluid on what you're burning or if you're burning say really dried out pine straw. But when you try to burn pieces of wood that's still green or leaves that seem dried out but may not be there's no way that matches alone will burn it. Sometimes you must use lighter fluid to get a fire started or dump lots of dried out pine straw on top of the green pieces of wood and strike 4 to 6 matches and toss them in 4 or more different locations within a burn barrel. That's guaranteed to get a fire started that may take a whole day for it to fizzle out. You don't want to be standing over the burn barrel when the fire finally gets started as it belches out so much smoke you want to run for it so you don't breathe in the awful smelling smoke. These matches can last a long time if you use them wisely. Sometimes it only takes 1 or 2 matches to get a fire started in the perfect spot where the pine straw is extremely dry. There's only one flaw with these matches--they break easily while you're trying to strike them on the box and I've had times where the match struck and the fire started on the match head exactly as it broke in two and because I was still holding it I almost got my fingers burnt or got my fingers stung by the match by holding on to it too long. I've had matches strike on the box but then fall on the ground and I had to put it out with my shoe. I've had times when the match broke in two as it struck and I had to quickly toss it in the burn barrel and hope the fire didn't go out. Sometimes the match would land head first in the pine straw and that would cause the fire to go out with a poof of smoke as it went out. That's just irritating for it to go out just as you toss it in the pine straw. Sometimes you have to fluff up the pine straw to make it easier for the fire to connect with the pine straw better. Yes, it seems like there's a science to getting a fire started and keeping it going as it seems like the fire quickly wants to go out unless you keep feeding it more dried out pine straw and kindling wood that's just laying around your yard.
Best matches - great for camping and/or picnics and BBQs Easy to use - easy to pack - One strike and have a flame!
I use these to burn my trash❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these matches serveral days back. Got them at a perfect time Deer hunting i used them to light the camp stove, laterns, and space heaters among several other uses .Not one time did i have a match not light on first strike or did i ever have a broken stick while lighting, these matches went beyond my expectations compared to several other brands i had used in the past , Diamond Brand will be the brand at our Deer camp from now on! Thank you Diamond and Royal oak .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that these come in a three pack. They last a long time and they light with the strike every time. I also like that the wood comes from certified forests also. There is 900 matches in this pack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Diamond Greenlight kitchen matches are not harmful to the environment. They are made with wood gown in responsibly manages forests. This is a plus to me, since I care very much about sustainability. The matches strike easily and quickly against the side of the box. The matches are sturdy, and do not break when struck. These matches come in a box of 300, which is a great value for the price. I routinely use my Diamond Greenlight matches when lighting scented candles, the bbq pit, the fireplace, and my gas stove. This brand has not let me down yet. I highly recommend these matches for any household.
Simply? ALL are much too expensive for matches. Sturdy but burn quickly.
THE HEAD HAS BEEN CHANGED AND FLAME DOESNT LAST LIKE IT USED TO. ISN'T AS EASY TO LIGHT UP.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had much luck getting any kind of strike-on-the box matches to actually STRIKE on the box before, so these were a very pleasant surprise! They were extremely easy to open but not TOO easy that the box fell apart as well or tore. Bonus points for the box being 100% recycled paperboard and a very eco friendly company in general! Instead of the cheapy, flimsy wood I've used in the past that had me going through a good 10 before a single spark, these have the nice, thick square sticks. While I'm not certain I'll switch over FULL time to matches from a lighter, I'd absolutely buy these again and highly reccomended them as a quality product to anyone! What a deal for the price too! I was given the chance to try this product free in exchange for my review!
