set up was a little confusing, but was able to sort it out. I am using it for incontinence pads. It just looks like a half-sized trash can, very clean and discreet in my small bathroom. It remains to be seen how economical the cartridge refills will be. But I am sure that this pail is worth it.

I actually bought this to dispose of my incontinence pads. I was familiar with the product because my daughter has one for a newborn baby. Products work great for both uses. No more smelly trash cans at our house.

I am a grandma that watches my grandkids. I don't know why I didn't get one of these sooner!! It is magical how there is NO ODOR. Even with the VERY SMELLY diapers that you can barely handle changing because ot smells so bad. Put it in the diaper Genie, and there is NO ODOR!! If i could give this more stars I would! Do not hesitate just buy it!! Make it your go to baby shower gift!!

I love it a lot of people say the diaper genie is unnecessary purchase but for me it is amazing I even heard rumors about the smell not fully being protected but again, it works amazing for me I never smell anything except for when it's like SUPERRRRR full and I should have been took it out and it's only if I leave it open for a extended period of time.

It was as the patient ask for and was what was expected.. Some of the nursing home residents have little or no interaction with the outside. They are often forgotten... The diaper genie was the only thing she asked for..so sad...But it wasn't the only thing I got her.. Thankful I could do more with your help Merry Christmas

I just adopted a 1 year old Pitt mix and I already have a 6 year old Shih Tzu. My newest wasn't fully trained and my Shih Tzu has his moments where he can be impatient or just wants to mark his territory. My newest was also having a rough time in the beginning with food change and environmental changes, so she was a bit stressed out and having more accidents than necessary. Whew, were they bad. I had to put her on a probiotic to help get her gut health back in check. I refuse to keep actual trash outside because I live in a heavily wooded neighborhood. I don't want rodents hanging around my house and potentially giving them the opportunity to find a way inside my house. I live five mins from the trash dump, so I usually haul my trash off daily as needed. I figured I would replace the trash can in my guest bathroom with one of these. It actually doesn't look terrible as a trash can in the guest bathroom. I did place a "stick em" in the bottom to help control the odor. You might could try to put half a bottle of "Poo-Pourri" on a sponge and place it in the bottom. That might be more effective. It does a pretty decent job of overall controlling the odor, but it's not a hundred percent effective. Odor does still tend to find it's way out. Especially when you open the lid. The trash "hole" is small. I have small hands and I usually wrap accidents up in doggie bags and it can be a tight fit getting it through the tongue into the body. It's pretty straightforward to use/operate. The bags are fairly thick (I think they could be a gauge or two thicker than what they are) and easy to work with. I've not had one rip on me. There is a nice sharp razor cutter under the lid to make cutting the bag easier and more convenient. I honestly think that these could be made to be a bit shorter and hold less to prevent all of that bacteria/waste stewing around for too long. I have to dump this thing when it is half full. My child is 18 now and I remember how bad his monkey business use to stink and I know how bad my new little mama's monkey business stinks, and letting this thing sit while marinating all those diapers/doggie pee pads that is advertised that this can hold, it's just too much and the odor does start to seep out. It is hard to get that odor out even after dumping it. I've not had to rely on this diaper pail as much here lately as she is getting better with house training, but this was definitely a great option to have during her stressful transition period of coming to a new home. I still keep it in the bathroom to have for unexpected/uncontrolled accidents. Those are still gonna happen no matter how well trained your pet is. I would definitely recommend every pet owner having something like this.

Keeps the smell contained, except when you pop it open. I can't push the diaper down fast enough but fortunately because it's so sealed the smell eventually fades. wish the opening was a bit bigger for overnight full diapers cause that is a struggle to get down.

The only issue I see with this product is the amount of bags, I change it two times and after that the small piece of bag that was left could do. The bags are not enough and I think that was a misrepresentation of what they said they were sell. I just had to use regular bags and make it work. I don't think it makes sense to buy the refill if I can only use it twice. Other then that there's no odor, I use it and change it every Friday so the holds a lot of diapers and it is seal well there's no smell. Overall great product

This is supposed to be the diaper genie, classic pale with bags to go with it in a box. I got the diaper genie, no refills, no box, just a sticker slapped on it and scuffs all over it. Walmart is selling this item as something completely different than what you actually get.

When you go to put a diaper in the top the flap that divides the top and bottom is way too tightly spring loaded and you have to push on it to make the diaper go in and end up pushing the whole thing thru into the bottom and have to fish it out and you know what’s down in there really gross and not even a little useful— not like the original diaper genies.
