We're seniors. I don't have infants or small children in my home, but we do use sanitary wipes in the bathroom and they are not flushable. The Compact Diaper Genie has replaced my bathroom wastebasket and I love it! It's PERFECT for discarded wipes %26 pads that we didn't want to throw into the wastebasket. I wondered if there would be a foul odor if we didn't empty the genie every day or every other day - the Push %26 Lock clamp does in fact provide odor control. It prevents unpleasant odors from wafting into the room. We only empty it once a week now. The compact size fits perfectly where my wastebasket was. The Genie is Genius!!
Nice product. Seems to have a good seal, but this is yet to be proved when the baby gets a bit older (and the poop more stinky!). I like that it's quite tall - more comfortable to open. The compact size seems to be sufficient for now.
I love this diaper pail. It's way better than the old school one. It doesn't waste bags. They also sell a giant refill. It last so long and is on sale every time I have bought it. There is no smell coming from it. It's super easy to use.
absolutely love this diaper genie, its saves a lot of time. can hold quite a few diapers, plus the generic diaper refills works and fits perfectly with this diaper genie.
not at all what i was expecting. maybe mine is defective or is just a design flaw but, the insert you put in- that actually holds the bag liners- they don't fit properly and every time you try to throw away anything you need both hands !! Mine constantly falls inside no matter how gentle I try to be. I use this for my puppy pads and I'm already frustrated with it !! I honestly would not recommend this for any expecting mother !! Most mothers don't always have two hands available to dispose of their babies diapers- one most likely holding a child or bottle or just in a hurry- and trying to use this would be a huge headache. Mother's have enough to deal with.... let's not make their jobs any harder than it needs to be !! Pro's - it does seem to keep the stink to a minimum but that's about all the good I can say about this thing at this time, unfortunately 😕
very cheaply made, I didn't like the refills, and the top fell in whenever I put a pamper in it. I returned it right away, Walmart return policy is very efficient
If I could rate this a 0 I would. The part for the refill bags to sit on is horribly designed. It keeps falling every time I put a diaper in. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
All Diaper Genies are not equal. The Elite is great. The spring mechanism on the lid on this one is too tight and the unit collapses upon itself on use. Whether you're getting this for yourself or for expecting parents, nobody wants to fight with a semi-mechanical plastic bin with a used diaper on the loose.
The smell was so horrible. Even with the charcoal filter, I had an arm and hammer diaper deodorizer that didn't help. When u push the diaper through, the smell comes up and permeates the entire room. It's enough to make you throw up!
This was supposed to come with 165 liners, they were not included and trying to find someone to talk to about it is impossible.
