My favorite toner, I've used it for years. It's inexpensive and has gentle, soothing, moisturizing ingredients, no alcohol. I don't know if it makes a difference in my skin honestly but I still like it and use it. I use it in a variety of ways - one of my uses is on baby wipes with water at night to clean my shoulders, neck, face, etc.
This is fantastic on my 50-year-old oily acne prone skin. It's cleanses without leaving a residue. It did not cause any irritation or further breakouts. The formula did not deplete the moisture from my skin. After use my skin did feel nourished and supple. The scent is faintly floral and lasts nearly an hour on your face.
I had not realized that the last bottle of witch hazel I had picked up from another big box store contained alcohol. I was surprised to find that several witch hazel solutions are sold with alcohol as a main ingredient. Alcohol is definitely an excessively drying astringent and if you are using witch hazel for the anti-itch, cooling and soothing effect on inflammed tissue, alcohol is definitely not a welcomed companion. Witch Hazel has a drying factor but is easy to balance with effective application. With an alcohol free product, you alleviate burns, and stop excessive drying that can cause further breakouts. I only use witch hazel rarely on my aged skin (50ish) for face treatment, as it's definitely more a post mosquito attack remedy for myself. My daughter uses regularly for toning and tightening her pores. We actually ordered this particular bottle for soothing skin beyond the face as it works well in many places including; hemorrhoidal pads, itchy bug bites, inflammed razor burn, and - it's safe for dogs too! Our lovely Labrador was having some itchy issues and was the source of learning our witch hazel had alcohol (thankfully, Dad checked before we applied) It was the perfect "solution" to her scratchy crisis. I am impressed with this brand though I can't say that it smells remotely rose, it does state rosewater; so I will take the win on a great product that's alcohol free and is exactly what we need.
This toner needs to be applied with either a cotton ball or a cotton round. It removes impurities from your skin while providing hydration. I really like this toner with my morning routine. Since it does not contain alcohol, it is not drying to the skin. It does not cause any irritation to my sensitive skin. It has quality ingredients.
I have been using this product for many years as the alcohol content is zero. As we get older we do not need that alcohol on our faces. This produce does the job in an excellent way using hyaluronic acid plus Vitamin E. Highly recommend it.
A must have in my home. Perfect as a skin toner,on insect bites and as a eye refresher used on cotton pads! So many uses I love it! And no alcohol which is a plus... nondrying! :)
Have used for many years, suggest to all family to use also. I am elder, is very good to my skin. Be good for any skin, young and old. No sting, cleans face, good for breakouts! OK for buy stings and bites, hurting muscles too. Great brand!
unfortunately, the lid/top was broken when received via home delivery. kindly of p.i.t.a. as a toothpick in small opening is only way I've thought of of keep more or less sealed via vert good product @ good price. just didn't feel like going through return process…
I don't ever do reviews unless I am truly impressed with a product, so here ya go! I used to use Dr. Teal's witch hazel toner with rose water and I loved the smell of it, but they stopped making it. I decided to try this one and at first I really disliked it because of the smell. It smells like old rose petals to me vs Dr. Teals that smells like a fresh rose. But after using this product for a couple weeks, I must say my skin has never felt so soft and even! It works way better than Dr. Teals toner did for me. I definitely recommend if you're looking for an inexpensive, hydrating toner.
This stuff has an absolute wretched smell! Disgusting! Do Not Buy! I used to use Dr. Teal's Witch Hazel with Rose Water which was a great product with a wonderful light rose scent, but I could not find anywhere anymore. I saw it mentioned that Dickinson's smelled bad, but thought how bad could it be- I'll try it. DON'T DO IT! Absolutely gross smell. If I could give zero stars %26 review I would, but want to warn others.
