I had some family cds that the companu thoufht it was necessary to copyright them whwn theu transferred the fillm to DVD. This caused us not to be able to make coppies of what was legally ous, using an android device and certain software, we were able to make our family dvds to digital files. So thos unit gets the highest rating. No co,pnay has the right to put coppy prtection on family videos No One! Commercial movies i get and understand that concept.

For those, wondering if this is a good product look elsewhere! I bought this the day before Christmas. It is now February 8th (when writing) and the audio has a short in it causing it to freak out in OBS.

Absolutely terrible, this is the biggest waste of many every, advertised as 4K capable but when plugged into my Xbox series X it was recording it while plugged into my PLENTY CAPABLE gaming computer achieved a maximum of 720P at 30hz, I tried everything possible to get a different result, I probably spent around 3 hours trying to trouble shoot and it just wasn't worth any more time than that, don't skimp out and buy this pile, save up the extra 30-40 and get an elgato.
