Great for Elementary Kids
We bought this for my son's birthday. He loves it! Nothing fancy but it's a great set to introduce how to use and take care of a microscope. Great for an 8 year old who loves science.

I tried looking everywhere for this for Christmas. Amazon has similar items, but none of them were what I was looking for, were too high cost, and shipping would have taken days to weeks to get it. Walmart got me what I need within a day from when I ordered it at a much better price that I could find at any other competitor

Granddaughter Loves It
Most impressive....was that two days before Christmas, I remembered I didn't purchase a science kit that my granddaughter (age 11) wished for. Didn't like Amazon's selection. Saw this microscope from WalMart. Not available at my store, but one south of me. Online offer said it could be delivered the next day. WalMart...You saved Christmas! On my doorstep in less than 24 hours and she LOVED the microscope!

This is a grandchild Christmas gift so I can not really review it yet. Ordering/delivery was great however... It would have been nice to receive it in a box so as not to ruin child's gift. (She lives with us!)

The set could have included some more exciting items to help the children better understand how to use the microscope. The price was reasonable and the choice of sample pieces could have been more selective

What you would expect
This is not a piece of lab equipment that you would expect to find on campus at the University of Virginia, but it serves its purpose for the projected audience. Captivating and promotes continued use!
