He had so much fun pretending to be a real archeologist. It's so realistic and super fun. Also the cleanup isn't to bad like most other kits I have gotten in the past

The "bones" were well made of good quality plastic so they didn't get broke by the chisel when he was excavating them and the plaster was the perfect medium for the wooden chisel and hammer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 5-year-old who loves dinosaurs and it was a fantastic idea. These things are so freaking cool and she loves them. I would highly suggest this toy to anyone who has a little dinosaur lover in their lives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great idea to keep kids busy! It comes with two solid blocks of "dirt", tools to excavate and glasses to wear to protect the eyes. Open the blocks and wet them then get started and this is perfect for an exploratory activity together. My 4.5 year old did not have much trouble getting the dirt off but we took turns because she could not wait to get the bones out. Then it's a surprise which block has the T-rex or which has the raptor so she was really excited to see which one we were digging out. The kit comes with one of each. She was very interested and excited when we were done with both to play with the models as well. She's been saying she wants to be a paleontologist when she grows up ever since we got this which is a win for parents to hear!

My son had so much fun with his dad they didn't even let me try it out lol. My son loves it so much he wants me to buy him more escavation kits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was somthing my son loves doing with the discovery kits he loves doing this he is hoping to get a gem out of this so fun and exciting for little kids they would definitely love this product highly recommend but not suitable for ages 3 needs to be ages 4 and up but still a great gift any kid would enjoy this product

Big grey brick is solid and packed with fossils which is the main reason I loved it. Large enough that it takes actual patience not just five minutes. Tools are simple but functional. It does get quite messy. Would buy again but not reusable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly if I could give this product a negative 10 stars I would. It is incredibly messy not only for the child using it but also anything in its vicinity. The dig site is some sort of semi hard plaster that is black. The directions say to add water to it to soften it and make it easier to excavate the fossils. Well adding water to it does make for an even bigger mess it did not help much with excavation. When water is added to this plaster it makes for a black sludge, similar to if you have a big brick of black water color paint and added water to that. So basically what you end up with is black sludge and watery plaster everywhere including on your child. I had to have my son scrub his hands with dish soap a few times to get clean.
