I was forced to use a net muzzle, do to my Labrador pup's need to eat rabbit, deer and antelope poop. She had a severe intestinal infection. While I was researching muzzles I came across this one. My pup doesn't fight it...problem solved. The strap is the only poor thing about it. It slips all the time. I set it for my pup and put a stitch in it. Works great.
I bought this to help my puppy stop eating poop. I haven't used it yet. Quality is good, and would be easy to wash, and would fit. We will see what happens because I also bought a "stop the eating the poo chew" from someplace else and that has stopped him along with cold weather. I gave that to my other dog so the puppy wouldn't like that poo either. Anyway, I liked the product and have it if I need it.
I was really excited to see these. Only one main problem…they didn't fit correctly. Both dogs needed a smaller size. The muzzles were too long for my 10 pound mini poodle and our 20 pound mini labradoodle. Recommend buying a smaller size. They are also a bit stiff. I can't imagine them trying to get a drink unless the bowl is deep since the snouts are so long.
I loved the concept and looked forward to using them. We go camping a lot and our dogs love to lick people. Thought this would be our answer. One problem, they do not fit correctly. I have a 10 lb mini poodle and the extra small was too big. I also have a 20 pound mini labradoodle and the small was too big. I would highly recommend getting a smaller size than the description shows. The snouts were too long on the product.
didn't even come close to working. our dog took it off within a minute or two could chew around it even though I had adjusted straps properly and everything. had strings hanging off of it very cheaply made. And if you're looking for this to keep your dog from biting a wound forget it it's going to catch on his teeth and choke on at before he even gets to the wound which is an even bigger issue. would not recommend
This was not a good fit for my Standard Poodle (75 lbs). His snout is too long to be able to put this on snuggly enough to keep on. If snout/nose size was a better size it would have been fine. I will not able to review the "stay on" abilities due to not being a good fit
First, the mess is so small that I think it makes it hard for them to sniff and even perhaps to breathe comfortably. Second, the straps do not stay adjusted. They slip so easily that I have to readjust every time I put the muzzles on (I bought one for each of my garbage-scavenging dogs). They can also loosen the straps by rubbing their head in the grass and get the muzzle off. Glad they weren't expensive.
This item was useless for my dog. The end butts up to the nose of the dog and he took it off within 30 seconds. Any dog that wants to get this muzzle off his head will. I felt it was a total waste of my money and would never recommend this item to anyone.
It was supposed to be XS but it was very large, thick, heavy. Even the part that comes down from the head to the muzzle nose bridge was so wide it interfered with her vision. I could not make the strap small enough to stay on and shes not a toy breed! very glad I could take it back to local Walmart.
My puppy tore the muzzle up in 15 minutes and was trying to destroy the strap when I discovered what she was up to! Somebody needs to go back to the drawing board on this. She is a small cream puff. Construction was poor and the fabric was cheap. I threw it away. A bought lesson is the best learning.
