I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old. The sound quality is great. It comes with drumsticks, but you can use your hands to play it as well. If you are not close to an outlet it can be plugged into a battery pack and it will work also. It is a really good purchase for the money spent.

especially for the price this is a great gift or first step for kids and anyone considering getting drums as a low cost way to try drumming out. It just works! The pads are responsive and the sound is good. They sound better with headphones plugged in (no Bluetooth). It rolls up and tucks away out if sight so it's great to be able to just pull it out, plug it in and play for while, then hide it again. Needs a hard flat surface for the pads to register the tapping most accurately and the pedals tend to slide on hard floors so some rubber non-skid tape helps. overall, i recommend and would buy again. this is our second purchase from Donner, they first being a Ukelele which was also great quality for the price paid.

I got this as a gift for my ADHD teen. It has been an amazing outel of both being able to physically hit something and to make music. They also connect music to it and use the speaker while hanging out. It sounds amazing and I like the size and compact ability. It doesn't take up a lot of space which is great. Overall an amazing product for the price.

My grandson loves it!!! Definitely kid approved. The sounds and music are loud and clear. I'm pretty sure this can be used in a more professional capacity. Light weight and easy to store.

Got this for my 7-year-old son as a gift for Christmas. The sound is decent for the price and don't expect superior sound quality. It does have a little lag time after hitting the pads, but fine for a child learning. I recommend starting with something like a drum pad to see if your child has a legitimate interest in playing before investing in an actual set. So far, my son is really enjoying it. Came in a nice box and it does roll up nicely and does not take up any room.

there is a lot of play of the pad when pressed. sometimes there is no response or you must press hard, or only on an exact spot. cymbal rings when any other pad is played. hands work better than the sticks. Good choice in drum types. Volume control has some play but acceptable. It is what it is, a toy and not an instrument.
