Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Bottle 3-Pack, 8 oz.

I purchased several different bottles when my baby was born as I didn't know the difference. My baby is very colicy and suffers from gas. Since using these particular bottles, things got much better with my baby because there's a piece in the bottle connected to the nipple which prevents air bubbles from entering the nipple. I have since ordered several more of these in 4 and 8 oz. sizes.

These have been the best bottles to keep gas away. I will only use these from now on. If anyone experiences a random leak it might be because formula powder is around the rim of the bottle before you attach the nipple

Dr. Brown bottles are the greatest bottles made. They really do keep the air away from baby and help with the gas a great deal, my granddaughter would not be able to survive without these bottles. Thank you so very much for making such a wonderful bottle for babies.

Overall great bottles. Love how easy it is to read the ounces. Not sure how well they help with gas/colic because my little one is always super gassy (like most babies). I had one leak (devastating when you lose breastmilk) BUT it was definitely my fault... I later discovered that you are not supposed to warm/heat these bottles with the center pieces attached, which I was doing (whoops). I also think my husband was over tightening the cap. That particular bottle leaked that one time though and has not leaked since. These are great bottles that I use daily, but I would not say they are my number one. I pump into bottles and breastfeed so I prefer the Boon bottles... Seem to be an easier nipple transition for baby, plus they are wayyy easier to clean... which is great for us sleep deprived parents :p

Dr. Brown's has always been my favorite bottles and I love that they have them in 2 ounce for Newborns.

I had read reviews for all of the different bottles out there, but Dr. Brown's seemed like one of the best. After using the Dr. Brown's bottles with my newborn son, I can tell you that they are definitely worth buying! However, in order to like these bottles you will need to be prepared for a few things. 1) The bottle rings are meant specifically for Dr. Brown's bottles. If you try to use them to fasten a nipple onto other bottles, they will leak. 2) There are extra parts to clean, but the bottles work wonders in keeping out air bubbles! I had read a couple reviews about the inserts getting moldy - this WILL NOT happen if you clean them like you are supposed to! Each pack of bottles comes with a special bottle brush that will fit into the inserts. If you use the bottle brush in the inserts with hot soapy water, you will not get mold. 3) In order to keep the air bubbles out, you cannot shake up formula in the bottle - you must stir formula in a separate container and then pour it into the bottle. I did get lazy at one point and tried shaking the formula up in the bottle - there were too many air bubbles and my son would spit up every time. You have to prepare the formula as suggested for the bottles to keep the air out. 4) You cannot microwave the inserts, so that may make preparing bottles ahead of time more difficult for people who like to microwave their bottles (even though that's not recommended for any type of bottle). NOTE: the above statements are not meant to be "bad" things - they are meant to prepare you to make a decision on what type of bottle you should get. If the above things sound like too much of a hassle, you will probably not like these bottles. Pros: 1) These bottles keep air out when used correctly. 2) They are made in the U.S.A!! 3) BPA free & shown to help keep vitamins intact, & reduce fussiness due to gas. Another thing I have learned is to buy the 8 oz bottles right away - you can use them for a longer period of time than the smaller 4 oz bottles...that will help keep costs down since you won't have to buy more bottles when your child wants to eat more.

I am a new young mother. 18 years old to be exact. My son is four months old. I first started out with the Avent bottles. Horrible. My son was very uncomfortable. So i've heard a lot about the Dr. Brown bottles. I have other family members who use these and they're absolutely amazing. He is way much more comfortable with these and he wont use any other type of brand. Yes, they are difficult to clean if you leave them dirty for a while. My husband and I always put them in a bucket of warm water with soap and soak them until we can wash them completely. I love them, My husband loves them, and most important of all, my son loves them! Pricing? anything for my son to make him more comfortable and happy.

Meanwhile these bottles supposed to reduce colic, fuss and gas in the baby - I have no proof of that because my baby was just never a crier and great from birth...One thing that puts these bottles ahead of the rest is the nipple flow - not too fast, not too little - perfectly mimicking the shape of the natural breast nipple, which made easy for me to transition to bottle feeding from breastfeeding ...Other bottles' nipples I've used had been ruined within weeks after feeding, sterilizing, etc. I own these 8 0z bottles, as well as 4 Oz bottles since my baby was younger...Yes - it takes an extra minute to take all the parts and wash them in warm soapy water individually, but it's definitely worth it to me and my baby. They also seem to be very durable after sterilizing comparing to other bottles out there.

I hate these bottles they leak no matter what!!! My baby will be soaked and Ive bought different ones new nipples etc they SUCK!!!!

These bottles leak when you set them down. Not sure why. My guess would be pressure is drawing the formula out of the bottle and then leaking down the sides. I'm going back to the cheap bottles.
