Ingrown toenail for a few years now gone

Hairdressertoeisfixed August 31, 2017

So I was dealing with a slightly ingrown toenail. I've had a full pain that was getting sharper for the past 3 years. I was thinking I would have to go get it cut out until a coworker told me about this product. I actually had to use it for about 7 days before I tried to cut at the side BC I was waiting for it to heal from the last time (before I had the product) I cut it. It worked just took the last bandaid off. Used alcohol to clean it and used cuticle pushers to slide the side of the nail out. I didn't even have to cut because the nail had been so softened by the product, especially the part of the nail that was stuck under the skin so it just slid right out. I am so relived as I'm a hairdresser and have to stand up all day for work. It will feel good to not have to come home with a throbbing toe! THANKS!!!!!!

Complete Satisfaction (so far)

Kyleb November 7, 2018

I have had ingrown toenails since college due to playing soccer, and have always taken care of them myself (gross and painful). I recently got one again and tried to take care of it but it was far too deep. It was INSANELY painful, I began to limp and got blisters due to how I was walking. I'm on the morning of day 2 of using this product...I feel nothing other than VERY SLIGHT discomfort when driving. I am (so far) very satisfied. I plan to write a follow-up review after a week when I try to remove the nail corner again!

This stuff really works

Kim123 March 15, 2016

I had a very painful ingrown toenail. I could barely walk it felt like a pin was sticking in my toe. My mother bought me Dr. Scholl's ingrown toenail and I was thinking it wouldn't even help. I used it twice a day for 6 days and then I was able to cut the nail out without any pain. I cut it yesterday and my toe feels back to normal. Great product.

Pain No More - Thank you Dr. Scholl

Kristin414 April 18, 2015

Dear Dr., I had an ingrown toenail and I purchased this product. I bought it yesterday and was able to lift and trim the offending nail today just like the box says. I honestly thought your product was a bunch of hooey and I could not have been more wrong. In the past I have just dealt with the pain until it goes away or dulls over time. This product worked for me in 27 hours. I am thrilled and feel fantastic. Thank you, Dr. Scholl!

Helpful though not a cure-all for ingrown nails

Shell2008 January 1, 2022

It reduces pain from an ingrown toenail and makes it easier to clip. It does not do anything to thin the nail (it doesn't say that it does, but I made that assumption before buying, so wanted to clarify) or make it easier to file or cut. Once you've been able to remove the offending part of the nail, monthly pedicures will be helpful; in my experience, the ingrown nail will grow back otherwise.

Ineffective

TimC April 14, 2021

Product offered little or any relief nor did it correct the condition.

Check expiration date

pepsplace February 1, 2013

I agree with mytoehurts the product material needs to be checked for being current. The last 3 packages I have purchased are near their expiration dates. Not only is the gel expired but the "bandages are usually impossible to seperate from their paper backings.

Dear Lord, the smell!

1975 July 25, 2025

I have only used this tonight, but I am not sure if I will be able to stomach putting it on again as the offensive - worst chemistry lab memory - smell was so very overpowering. I am hoping it is a wonder product as my podiatrist is booked out for months, but honestly this is the most offensively smell I have ever encountered outside of having to run past the local sewage treatment plant for our high school ski team training before we'd get snow in the winter...

Smells as awful as the other reviews stated

123dontlookatme February 22, 2026

I'm pregnant; there's no way I can make it through the rotten egg smell. I couldn't last an hour because the smell started to come through my socks and I don't deal with sweaty feet. I'm sure it'll work if I could get past the smell.
