Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Xbox Series X

This is my first time playing a Dragon Age game, but I love it. I know it's getting a lot of crap, but the visuals and combat sell it for me. Story is okay, voice acting is generally good but sometimes meh, writing is decent but can be cringe at times…but I've still put probably 200 hours into this game. Try it for the combat, if nothing else!

Great game visually and the character creation is some of the best I've seen in a game and really helps seeing the character I've created doing the dialogue instead of a generic character.

The game itself looked okay on first inspection. There is a small bit of the plastic chipped from the seel to open the case. Other than that, the discs are nice and clean like they're brand new.

Now Dragon Age has become a relationship builder with weathered RPG concepts. The story is great, but that is irrelevant if you can't withstand the cringe to make it through the game.

Its a decent game. But it does have its issues. I think this game will end up like Inquisition. Everyone hates it now. But will grow to like it after time. If you like Dragon Age you will have issues with this game. But will ultimately enjoy playing it. If you just want an action game. You'll probably like it. If you want a big, deep RPG with actual RPG mechanics, you are going to hate this game. And if you are a huge DA lore nerd, you'll have some huge issues with this game.

I'm about 30 hours in and have been enjoying the game. If your familiar with previous Dragon Age titles, this one feels like a successor to Dragon Age 2. More linear than Origins and Inquisition, the game is broken into multiple large open levels that foster exploration. Overall, if you enjoyed the other games I'd say theres a good chance you'll enjoy this as long as you don't go in expecting it to be likes Origins and Inquisition.

Real good game. Only drawback is that the storyline is complex

I gave average about the product, only bc I couldn't truly rate it, it was a video game that I mistakenly purchased for the wrong console and I sadly wasn't able to play it, but that was my mistake no fault about the product

gameplay was ok, but fell short of being a good dragon age game. VG lacked real consequences from choices and only allows the player to import 3 choices from previous games making replay ability very low. ill probably just replay the 1st 3 games before i replay this game.

Companions are dull. Story is nonexistence. Combat is good but gets repetitive quickly. Lack of enemy verity, fighting the same enemies over and over.
