When i found this item i thought it was perfect for the job i needed to do. I was looking for something to cut a perfect 7 5/16 hole in some MDF, i bought the 4200-6/40 kit and had to return it because this attachment melted on the threads of the tool. when i tried to slowly turn it off the threads broke off the tool. i decided to give it another shot thinking i maybe went to fast, got another kit tuned it down, took my time and tried again. this time i got half way done the hole when i noticed something looked off. I took the attachment off to find it deformed and without threads.

I used this tool to cut holes for cooling intake and exhaust fans (80mm usb) The cabinet was a light steel ikea bathroom cabinet and although the rotary tool got quite hot it made a nice job. I would definitely recommend working clockwise at full speed, regulating the pressure to maintain a steady cut rate.

Absolutely no regret about buying this. Cut the 2 3/8" hole very precisely in 1/4" plastic of rain barrel. Next project, cut hole in ceiling and move kitchen light over by a foot. Glad I don't have to buy any hole saw of other sizes at all.

I build hight power model  rockets in the 4-8" range and use the tool to cut rings and bulk heads . much cheaper to do it your self . little hard to use sometimes . just have to go slow 

I bought this tool to cut app. 2-inch to 12-inch arcs and circles in quarter-inch acrylic. I started cutting with the 561 Multipurpose cutting bit that came with the kit. Trying to make a single cut proved impossible, as the bit chattered too much. But by backing off and making 3-4 passes of increasing depth, I ended up with clean cuts. A router bit may also work better. Acrylic is not like wood, it has a tendency to melt and gum up the works if you push it too hard, so you have to be slow and careful. But I am very satisfied with the results.

One of these came in a kit I bought and I used it to cut out round holes in sheetrock for ceiling-mount smoke alarms a few years ago. It worked fine, although I got a bit of dust in my face.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought this attachment over a year ago I had limited expectations, but soon found out that it had a broad range of uses for cutting large 6 to 8 inch diameter holes in 1/2" plywood and 1/4" aluminum sheets. In the case of plywood the holes were made using several passes and you could even go to 3/4" plywood by cutting on both sides of the wood to complete the hole. The hole was reasonably accurate and served the purpose of mounting instruments. In the case of the 1/4" aluminum plate the cutting action was much slower and again it is best to cut from both sides. Cutting from both sides with many passes tends to enlarge the center hole, but still the circle cutter attachment did an excellent job. I would recommend this circle cutter for projects where the somewhat inaccurate circle shape can be tolerated. If you take great care and multiple passes from a single side the circle is more accurate.

Great tool at a great price. Adds functionality to your Dremel tool by allowing perfect circle cuts! Can't say enough.

Does the job as described. Needed a circle cut out and it worked nicely. I am not a woodworking person.
