Best price I could find online and because I could return it to the store if there was a problem with it, it was the perfect buy. It's just what I wanted so I have no need to return it. Still, it is great to know I could have returned it easily if there was a problem.

I really like the handling of the unit...I thought this might be rather heavy after holding it while working on the project, but the contour %26 the grip are such that it is very comfortable to use...The blades %26 sanding ends change out very easily...The cutter blades work very well as does the sanding pads...The smallness %26 angle of the blades, make them easy to get into those tight corners and hard to get at places... I really have nothing negative to say about the Dremel MM50 and that is GOOD!!

You don't know you need until you get this. Used so far to install a refrigerator that turned out to be too tall for existing cabinet, remove a granite slab from the top of a counter top, cut drywall for some between stud wall niches, and I'm just getting started. Next will be removing some hardwood floors in a bathroom. Wish I'd gotten sooner. So easy to use.

Although I have yet to use this specific product, I have used these Dremel products before. The one I ordered is just a higher amperage model.

The Dremel MM50-01 5-Amp multi tool is a solidly built, well designed multi tool. I purchased this for a exterior window trim replacement project and for cleaning up 100' of wood porch railing for paint prep. Plunge cross cuts are fast, precise and clean. The tool is easy to control and operate over an extended period of time. The sanding function is excellent.making it easy to get into tight spaces and remove material quickly. The quick change head design provides solid tool mounting, so tool changes are easy and all standard oscillating tools are compatible. The only thing that is less than exciting is the supplied tool bag in place of a case. Common power tool routine now, bu I hate digging around in tool bags to find loose cutting tools and sandpaper. Wish they would offer a poly hard case, even as an add on price.

The variable governor is of poor design. Debris will settle on circuit board and short if out. No replacement part. Same for the mm35 model. If I would known this to be the case I would have taken cover off and blew off the debris on circuit board after each use.

I was hoping a more powerful tool would do a better job of cutting something glued down but it didn't work any better than the one I already have that is less powerful.

I have owned this for several years with light, now and then use. Buyer beware that Dremel uses cheap plastic switches that fail. You would think that for the cost of this tool, they would source a part that doesn't so consistently give out. If I had designed or sold this, I would be ashamed of myself. A simple internet search will tell you how common this problem is.
