Dritz® 6" Sewing Gauge with Sliding Marker for Measurements

I purchased this item not to use in the traditional way but for measuring while creating my small handcrafted wooden toys. these measuring implements are small and lightweight. You do need to be a little gentle as the metal is flexible and can bend. I like the slide measurement inside the small ruler to help me remember measurement when I'm unable to write it down. Because of the convenience of this ruler of which I've had in my sewing kit for about 20 years. I thought it would be a handy in my wood workshop as well. Originally (about 20 years ago) I got this item for sewing while I was hemming pant legs. I love the convenience of it!

Three of us dance moms were out of town and needed to stone costumes and we didn't have anything to measure with. This was absolutely perfect because you could actually move it to how many centimeters you needed the stones to be apart! Highly recommend!!

This was a great purchase for what I needed it for. Inexpensive and worked perfectly for a quick hymn this was a great purchase for what I needed it for. Inexpensive and worked perfectly for a quick hem job on my granddaughters costume.

Small size helps keep my work area uncluttered. Recommend purchase.

I had one of these rulers for years but it was lost in my last move. It is an absolute must for anyone who does serious sewing. Unfortunately this new ruler is much thinner than the original one. Also the markings are not as clear. But I will use it because I find it a necessity especially when hemming an item.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet but, after examining it for a bit, I think it will work quite well. It's a different material than I've used before but should still be OK.

It's a great price. However I don't like how all the little bars are the same length. I like the dritz one better so I'm you can more easily see the different measurements in the 1/4in 1/2in ect.

cheap price so it's a bit flimsy. marker tends to move from position easily, not snug enough. otherwise if your careful works in a pinch. better than nothing .

This hem gauge is the biggest piece of junk so save yourself some money and don't buy it. It is so flimsy, cheap and thin. The slider barely works. The only thing you might get from this is a cut since the edges are sharp. I'm so disappointed in most of the things Walmart sells anymore. Shame on you!!!!
