Dritz Wash Away Wonder Tape 1/4"x10yd

I do machine embroidery and this product was recommended by a friend to help hold the fabric in place on the embroidery hoop. After trying it for that application I found that it did not help as much as I expected, but did find that it did save time and mistakes when used for the purpose it was manufactured for. When it comes to holding zippers in place while they are stitched and setting hems etc, it is fantastic. It leaves no sticky residue on my machine needle and the adhesive launders out. Wonderful product for the busy sewer.

Don't buy it online from Walmart.They emailed me to tell me my order was received, but they lost it or never got it. I drove 35 miles to get it at a fabric store.The stars are for the product,not the online service. Maybe if I had ordered other stuff to go with it,they wouldn't have lost it.

This product is so perfect. I was making quilt and lately for the first time I was having problems with the borders and the triangle piece of the quilt would keep stretching making it hard to sew the border on flat. Adding this tape, which is sticky on both side, help get the border attach to the triangles with out stretching. I have heard it is also perfect for satin, lace, velvet and other slippery like fabric.

A must for the sewist.

I used this tad once for securing a zipper prior to sewing it into leather. Works great! A bit narrow for my purpose however.

Used with stretch fabric. Gave a clean professional seam, holding both layers firmly in place, no fraying or gathering. No need for pins.

This item does exactly what it needs hold the fabric together instead of using multiple pins prior to sewing. This is NOT to be used for an easy iron on hem, please read the product description before leaving negative reviews, this is a washable adhesive tape to hold your fabric and then SEW!

doesn't stick like it say. Only good on very light weight fabric

I've happily used this product for years, both professionally and personally -- I'm a Master Designer with more than fifty years' experience in designing and creating wedding gowns, eveningwear, dance/performance costumes, home dec projects, crafts, and fashion clothing. "Wonder Tape" has been a time-saving favorite for every type of project. Unfortunately, the last thirteen rolls I purchased had to be returned...the tape no longer works properly (the paper won't release the adhesive onto the fabric). A quick check on the internet shows many other users have been having the same problem with their rolls of "Wonder Tape." Please, Dritz, fix this problem!
