Great product to use on knits

Judy October 24, 2023

I've been sewing for decades and I've always hated hemming any knit garment because the hems never looked smooth or professional. Plus, being a short person, I generally need to hem knit shirts I buy for golf since for some reason there are a lot fewer petite sized golf shirts out there than regular sized shirts. I discovered this stretch heatnBond product and wanted to give it a try. I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised but how great it works. You just iron the tape to the bottom inside of the hem area, allow it to cool, then remove the paper backing layer, fold up the hem (with the HeatnBond applied) and press again. The first time - no steam, the second time you use steam. Your hem is perfectly flat, with an even hem height around the entire garment and the hem stretches when the fabric stretches. You don't need to sew the hem but if you want to, there is no residue left on the sewing needle.

Great stuff. Convenient

Tra September 14, 2023

Great to use alone or with sewing. If using alone, when drying, use low heat in dryer. Holds up well.
