worth it

Larry August 11, 2022

I am in a wheelchair and depend on reachers.... I have had many throughout the years, and I must say this, by far, is the best one I have had the pleasure of using. Originally I thought it was overpriced but I needed one ASAP so I purchased it. It arrived before the estimated delivery date and is better (more solid) built than the ones I have had in the past. Not only do I recommend this item, I will purchase a spare when the funds are available. I was not paid/compensated for this review. I want others to know a quality product they can rely on. This one on my list. It is truly a great aid for me and I hope it can help others like me. p.s. It rides next to me between my right leg and the wheelchair armrest wherever I go.

Got a bad back? Get this!

GentGeorge December 15, 2020

For people like me who have trouble leaning over due to back problems this tool is a life-saver. I know it is designed to get stuff off shelves but it is also useful for picking stuff up off the floor.

I had gotten one of the cheaper ones and it didn't pick up like I thought it should so I paid a little more and got this one and it was the best choice. I could've made specially if you're disabled and can't bend over.

Good tool

Dan July 30, 2021

It is built rather lightweight. That is a tradeoff. Strength versus weight to lift. It feels like it would be easy to bend or break, but it is light enough to use at arms length. You just need to be careful and not overload it. Only having one moving jaw takes a little getting used to but I believe it is a sturdier design. I have been able to grab some very small items with this tool

Respect December 16, 2020

This tool is very helpful for picking up light items eg tv remote control on the floor especially - when you don't want to bend or kneel. I don't think I'll recommend it for heavy items like a can of soup. Very useful when you need it.

Ok BUT Not My Favorite

Shar January 11, 2021

I replaced one I had for years. Very different. This one will not last that long. It is ok, but I doubt it will pick up anything that has any weight to it (bottled water) or very small or lightweight items (coins, sheet of paper). Items that my previous one could handle. Next time I will pay few dollars more to get sturdy, stronger one. Only had it a few days, so hopefully will be able to adjust to it.

Ok for retrieving light weight objects.

Disappointed I could not reach for, say a soup can - unable to hold the weight!

cannot pick up leaves so completely worthless.

Donelo November 10, 2025

total crap. Lasted only about 1 minute picking up leaves from my outdoor pond. Rope disconnected from front lever. only attached by a simple crimp. no knots or loops unlike another unit that I have had for years which finally quit after return spring broke from rust. If I find some spring steel will make my own spring.
