Drive Medical Hinged Toilet Seat Riser, Elongated Seat

I purchased this because I am having knee surgery and the extra height would make it easier to use the bathroom. The installation was easy enough and it fits well. It is made for the elongated toilets. I especially like that it is hinged so everyone using that bathroom has the choice to use it or not.

Previously I purchased the non-hinged seat. It was awful. Crap would get stuck between the seats and I had to unfasten the top seat every time to clean it. With this seat, I just have yo lift it.

Most riders make your throne to high, This just right.

I am 94 years old and have previously owned and used a fixed toilet seat riser. It was useful but had to be removed to clean between the riser and toilet bow. This new hinged riser gives the same height advantage but also allows it to be raised during urination and easy wipe-cleaning of the toilet rim and other areas of sprayed urine. A great convenience for us old men living alone and trying to be sanitary.

I have a Kohler Highline elongated toilet. I've tried several, but this one is the best fit that I've seen. It was easy to install. It comes with two 6" x 3/8" bolts, two wing nuts, two metal washers and 2 fiber washers. I replaced their hardware with stainless steel bolts, wingnuts, fender washers and rubber washers.. It's made life much easier.

Works well, easy to install on commode and the hinge is the best part since you lift it to have easy access to all areas of the commode and other seat parts. Great design. Please make a 2 inch height one for us shorter folks.

It's risky to sit on because the seat is always shifting. Overall, it is very scary to sit on. Since it's not returnable I'm stuck with it.
