The standard Equate walker from Walmart seems to be the only walker on the market that's black. Yet they don't make replacement parts for it. So when the wheels go out, you have to resort to silver universal wheels. The Drive wheels fit just fine. It just looks like the walker's wearing socks. LOL! Obviously, it's simple to replace wheels. The old legs slide off, the new legs slide over the adjustment buttons for installation. But swivel wheels sit below the walker's legs, not to the side, so they raise the walker's height several inches. The back legs have to be adjusted to match. The walker looks too high now, but the user swears that it's fine. We got the swivel wheels because they sounded easier to drive than the original static wheels, particularly around corners. The user did not like the freestyle movement. They felt unsteady because they're not used to that feel. Since there is the option to lock the wheels, we tried that and they liked it much better. The control felt like the old wheels, just higher. We suggested that they could get used to the swivel movement and have the benefit of dual-control wheels, locked or unlocked as needed. They want to keep them locked. In the end, we could have gone with replacement static wheels and kept the walker at the same height, but they want to keep these wheels anyway. They're happy that the walker rolls well again. We'll just name it Socks.
I was skeptical of this purchase but am so glad I took the leap! They were so easy to put on, even with arthritic fingers and wrists. I installed the stationary wheels on the back, and now my walker turns on a dime. No more ‘pick up and put down' for each and every turn! The quality is high, just like the original equipment. So grateful for better mobility!
These swivel wheels are great. They work well and afford easier handling of the walker. The only negative was I had to cut six or more inches off the stem so the walker wasn't too tall. Great buy.
Well worth the upgrade, the walker much easier to traverse! Thanks!!
It is a great addition to my walker by making it so much more maneuverable!
Easy to install. Work great!
So easy to turn walker now! No picking it up over and over to turn a corner. Thank you!
Received on schedule. Very easy to install and function excellently. Very stable and helps me deal more efficiently with my balance issues.
Love them! Makes getting around so much easier for my husband.
Product works great problem is you better be at least six foot tall because they raise the walker two inches higher on every setting I'm six one an on lowest setting it's two tall for me
