I've used all the different brands and this maximum strength works well for large windows and double doors. I usually scrub around the windows real well so that the tape sticks good but I didn't do it this year and to my surprise it stuck nice and firm anyway. anyone with a drafty house needs this plastic on your windows because when you take the tape off in the spring it doesn't ruin the paint and comes off easy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use insulation kits in the winter but I never thought about summer to help keep the air conditioner air from going out till I received the Duck brand and let me tell you. Wow, not only is it easy to put up but it is thicker then another brand name that I use, and let's just say I will not be going back them. My home is staying cooler and I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. The material is crystal clear so I can still look out the window.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always like to cover my windows with plastic during the winter months. I'll pick up a generic kit from one of the local discount stores. I end up dreading the task. The tape usually doesn't stick well and the shrink to fit feature doesn't work that well either. This time I used a Duck Max Strength kit. The sheet comes rolled for ease of use. The directions are super easy. With the Duck brand the tape is strong and the shrink to fit feature left my window crystal clear. Definitely would buy this again.
Easy to work with, fewer wrinkles because it was rolled rather than folder %26 was thicker than other insulating kits.
I liked there was no chemicals listed.
by far the best weather window plastic ever bought
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed with how well this window insulation kit worked. We have an older house so it's harder to keep it warm. This has helped so much. It's blocking a lot of the extra air from coming in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use and apply to window. I used on a window that I had broken out one of the double pane by accident and was able to see the difference in the temperature in my garage immediately. Would definitely recommend and plan to use on some other drafty windows that I have in my home.
Rip off. Just a cheap sheet of plastic but that wasn't even the real issue. The real issue is the dishonest advertising revealing a clear intent to mislead. The title "patio door/xL window insulation kit" indicates this is for either a patio door or an Xtra large window. But it's easy to see when you open the product that it was not designed for a patio door or any door. It's a fixed sheet of plastic designed to be sealed at the perimeter meaning installation eliminates the function of a door. This becomes clear once you take a close look at the images-they are zoomed in so you can't determine if you're looking at the corner or a patio door or a fixed window. It becomes even more clear when you access the website stamped on the front of the box for instructional videos and project guides because once you go there you can select an installation video for the exact product you purchased. Unfortunately, the video only shows you how to install plastic on a small sized window. This video seems to represent installation instructions for all of the products. It seems the only difference between the products from this company are the name printed on the box and the price printed on the tag. What you find inside is always the same. So if you see this diverse product line hanging on the store shelves, don't spend time reading what's printed on the box, you're gonna find the same one product inside any box. So you might as well just grab the cheapest one, and chuck it across the room as far as you can because the shelf looks better bare! Aim for a trash can because that's where it truly belongs.
The tape is trash. Save your money. Had 8x6 windows that were a bit large to cover couldn't even get it to cover two feet of the top without it peeling off.
